I have an ALS on my laptop that's acting up.

My screen is set to max brightness but it is still quite dark. When I shine a light on the ALS, the screen becomes much brighter.

I have disabled the ALS using both the hot keys (Fn + F11) and in the BIOS. However, the screen remains quite dark at max brightness. ALS does not respond to light.

The fact the screen does reach max brightness when a light is shone on the ALS suggests the issue is with the inverter (where the ALS is located) and not the screen backlight.

Can anyone confirm if you have experienced this issue before? Thanks.
