    76-9

4th out half in five matches for Italy

2 welsh players obviously offside from that kick

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,320 ✭✭✭Teferi

4 minutes before a try. Poor Italy. There were a few good hits too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 455 ✭✭letsseehere14

Two Welsh players ahead of the kicker there. Surely offside?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,506 ✭✭✭✭Xenji

Harsh on Italy with that try.

Poite ref and barnes tj missed that offside is a disgrace. Thats shocking

Can we borrow some Welsh scrum halves?

4 minutes for Poite to show how good he is. Wales try off came directly as a result of the offside kick chase

Shocking officiating there. I've seen enough, I'm out.

You lasted longer than the Italian defence, fair play!

Wales are loving the old choke tackle this year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,320 ✭✭✭Teferi

Lol love it. 'Fuck it, our goose is cooked anyway, let's just do a BaaBaa's and go for the lineout."

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 35,726 Mod ✭✭✭✭pickarooney

They will not be getting the 9 at this rate.

Shaun 'the choke tackle is dangerous' Edwards. The Welsh coaching setup is full of spoofers. Successful spoofers, but spoofers none the less.

Biggars kick and chase is just ridiculously good

The real fault lies at the feet of anyone who takes anything they say at face value!

I just love to hate the Welsh management tbh.

I remember a lot people ridiculing walesonline for pointing that out as a major asset of his.

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 35,726 Mod ✭✭✭✭pickarooney

Ah that's how you do a kick in behind!

It reminds me of when you see kids playing with a ball on their own, where the just hoof it up in the air and run a bit to catch it. It's like there's nobody else on the pitch when he does it. Magic.

Not 10 back at a 5 metre scrum?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,489 ✭✭✭Yamanoto

Odiete isn't half as tidy a player as Luke McClean, whose exclusion is a bit baffling IMO.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 424 ✭✭neelia11

Wales must have incriminating pics of Poite

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 35,726 Mod ✭✭✭✭pickarooney

Why is he speaking English to Parisse and Castro?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,320 ✭✭✭Teferi

Italy are throwing in some huuuuuuge tackles.

Was thinking that myself. What's the rules around that. Are you supposed to just let them walk a quick tap in?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,869 ✭✭✭Jump_In_Jack

Superb timing on the tackle from Parisse to sack Webb, pity the ref missed the blatant offside from Welsh 20, turned around and walked into the ruck from the wrong side to block the Italian ruck. Should have been penalty Italy in front of the posts.

Should retreat as far back as the try line.

Some dreadful decision making by Wales in the last few minutes

So you cant tackle until they're over the line?

A few Keith Earls impressions from the Welsh

Was Biggar to Roberts not forward?

When they take the tap they have to be at or behind the try line, they can shoot up to make the tackle as soon as the tap has been taken.

In this particular case the SH would have had to run back to the try line first though.

It was just very, very, very, very, very, very lateral.

Yeah but he probably should have retreated as soon as the penalty was given instead of hanging about. The card was a little bit harsh but seeing as he illegally stopped a pretty certain try it was probably the correct call to the strictest definition of the law.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,320 ✭✭✭Teferi

What are the odds on Parisse getting a card by the end of the game? He's going to punch a Welsh player or Poite, he just hasn't decided who yet.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,072 ✭✭✭Yeah_Right

Why is he speaking English to Parisse and Castro?

What are his other options? I know Parisse speaks French but does Castro? Does Poite speak Italian?

That ruck was crazy, what was Davies doing wrestling with the Italian player as he was lying across the ruck flat on his back??
Could've gotten a warning at least as he was penalised in the previous play.

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 35,726 Mod ✭✭✭✭pickarooney

Are these Italian players badly injured or just glad for an excuse to escape the massacre?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,899 ✭✭✭✭BBDBB

He's been a bit of a drama queen for a few of the games, maybe it's the frustration

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,874 ✭✭✭✭bilston

In all seriousness would Georgia be any worse than this Italian side at the minute? There really wouldn't be much in it. I think from a purely rugby perspective the argument for promotion and relegation is pretty compelling at this stage. However commercially there is probably some way to go.

Castro speaks fluent French. He's been in France five years.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Poite isn't giving the Italians anything.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,047 ✭✭✭Bazzo

BBC panel are saying there were calls for Priestland to start ahead of Biggar, and not just for experience or a run out.... really??

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 424 ✭✭neelia11

Poite is usually picky. Webb took quick tap nowhere near the mark.

They're doing a rehearsal of Amhrán na bhFiann in the background. It's the most exciting thing on RTE all day.
