Probably Back Baltazar king ew and Need to decide on UDS. If I get evs or better will be temped to lump.

Not much else striking me yet

After a huge first day these are my fancies for day two.
Yorkhill cannot have the ground quick enough and will win.
    NO MORE HEROES nuff said.
Politologue has the form in the book as I see it big chance.
Un De Sceaux by a country mile.Sprinter Sacre has no chance not just based on his last run which would not give a hope in hell of winning this but a horse with heart issues will be found out big time when the going gets tough.
Josie's Orders will bounce of the unwatered ground.
Paddy's Runner will also bounce of the ground and has the finishing kick to win.
Ballyandy is a very progressive horse who will love fast ground.I don't see an Irish superstar unless Agusta Kate can defy tradition (According on dam side) should like the fast ground.

I'm a massive Un De Sceaux fan and have a fair lump of my bank set aside for him and Thistlecrack but i'm getting slightly concerned about the ground, he acts on good for sure but i think it might narrow the gap between him and a few of the others, still expect him to win but not quite as unreasonably confident as i was.

A toi Phil got a chance in first , avenir de via in bumper ,un di seux will win champion chase if clear round

Bar one money back on all fallers at Cheltenham just a heads up for uds backers. Not sure if this is a free bet or cash back anyone able to confirm this? Usually their 'cash backs' are actual cash.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,107 ✭✭✭HarshOstrich

Yorkhill will win , his tolworth form is the best form on offer and the ground tomoro is what he wants.
I have sprinter sacre in double with altior @40/1 so I have to side with him, hoping Mullins drops another bombshell and runs him in goldcup ha.
Rock the kasbah in coral cup and Balthazar king in cross country

It's actual cash back. Max 25 quid though. Been handing it back over the counter all day!

Cheers the staff in my local bar one seriously don't give a **** so shouldn't have any trouble getting a few separate bets on, Surely if UDS makes it round it wins ?

Ah yeah, fellas could have been doing that today I would have been none the wiser, we've enough to be worrying about as it is! He should do anyway, himself and yanworth hopefully do the business, thinking about doing the treble wit thistlecrack but there's something in the back of my mind telling me to just go with the double.

The money coming for York hill is great as it means the topping up on Yanworth can continue. He pissed all over charbel earlier in season and he ran a v respectable fifth in supreme today. Won over C+D last time and was running a stormer in champion bumper on same ground he will face tomorrow when got the door shut on him.

    So far gone with a 2pt Yanworth/UDS double @3.5/1 and a 1pt Yorkhill win @2/1.

Didn't O'Leary's outfit say several times that they would not have any horses in the bumper this year? Yet here we are the day before the race with Avenir D'une Vie declared for tomorrow. Isn't it also telling that Patrick Mullins (who usually gets first dibs on which bumper horse to ride) has picked this one.

I reckon this could be a bit of a plot. Have watched the replays of previous races again and reckon this definitely stays coming up the hill, but whether it will be quick enough, I don't know. Worth taking a chance at 10/1.

Go back and watch the turn of foot he showed when leaving Delagate for dead in his second race and then again last time out against Meade's horse. Of course they wouldn't be the strongest of oppositions but he couldn't have been more impressive.

The ground at Gowran when he was beaten by New To This Town was pretty atrocious and I'm fairly sure he was scoped dirty after that one anyway. I'm very confident that he'll go well and he'll be my biggest ew bet until Cause of Causes in the Kim Muir

    Reverse Forecast
    UDS/Sprinter

Avenir D'une Vie is 6, reason Gigginstown are running him I'd say. Anyone know why Townend is on Augusta Kate? Thought that was a weird one.

    Anyway my bets are:

    1:30 Yanworth.
Love Yorkhill and all, and he'll be a savage chaser in time but jesus he should not be so close in price to Yanworth, a near ready made Champion Hurdler imvhavho.

    2:10 More Of That.
MOT will absolutely destroy this field if he wants. 10 lengths plus if Barry wants to extend him. Beast of a horse. Vyta du Roc to folow him home. If NMH wins I am an awful judge and I'm packing the game in lol.

2:50 Politologue, Blood Cotil, Arbre de Vie.
Enjoy this minefield of a race but my selections are fairly muggy tbph. Mullins 2 are reasonably well treated and Nicholls yoke I'm hoping is a progressive sort, nice hoss.

3:30 Sprinter Sacre, God's Own ew
UDS way too short. Ground not in his favour at all. Can't have SDG or DB. I've heard ST isn't going to challenge UDS for the lead, strange one. I'm not that confident on SS but he's the play. GO to place. Vautour would win this by a fence fwiw. Sigh.

    4:10 Josies Orders.
    4:50 Diego du Charmil.
    5:30 Compadre ew.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,205 ✭✭✭Gringo180

Sgt Reckless is fairly well treated on his old hurdles form and will run a big race I think. Will love the drying ground, really think hes been laid out for this. 33/1 well worth an each way bet.

I think its JP McManusDay today.
    Yanworth
    More of That
    Josies Orders
    Castello Sforza

Have also backed Vigil ew antepost....hope he runs better than Silver Concorde yesterday.
Paddys Runner and Our Thomas in the 4:50 ew

    Bet365 are paying 5 PLACES in 4:50

Not that I fancy just Cameron in champion chase but he won't finish last
    175/1 ha
Wasn't beaten far by un de sceaux at punchestown last year.
If he jumps well I expect him in the first 5

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,376 ✭✭✭Shemale

Slight concerns over the ground for UDS but he has won on it, only worried about SS having a run similar to his Shloer(??) chase run or better. The quickening ground will be straight into Balthazars hands

    Yanworth

    More Of That

Diamond King (being drawn to Beast Of Burden at big price too)

    Un De Sceaux

    Balthazar King

Kazakh Noir, want to have another look at Campeador

    Avenir Dune Vie

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,135 ✭✭✭Gregk961

Had a long post about Beast of Burden back over hurdles in the coral cup but it decided to delete itself but basically I'm hoping he gets around without bursting again and I'll take 33/1 on that chance.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭I said

Cooper on C4 saying he rides Don Cossack in the gold cup unfortunately that's Davy Russell s and the horses best chance of winning it gone imo.

    13:30 · Yorkhill *
    14:10 · More of That *
    14:50 · Diamond King #
    15:30 · Un de Sceaux *
    16:10 · Josies Order *
    16:50 · Jaleo #
    17:30 · Avenir Dune Vie #

    Horses with a * are in a lucky 15.
Horses with a # are in a patent, and are horses least confident about.
Just something small for a bit more interest in all the races.

My Festival revolves around Un De Sceaux,Thistlecrack and to a lesser extent No More Heroes and Don Cossack. Today could have me well up or well down. Getting a bit nervous, but that's all part of the fun.

On this ground he won't get within a fence of MOT. It will be some race. Today is actually a better day then Yesterday imo. It's nearly always the Tuesday that's the best day of the Festival but today is a super card.

Patrick wouldn't be able to do that weight.

If Willie had his way I've no doubt Augusta Kate wouldn't be running in this race, she's definitely opposable today.

Yeah i'm more excited about today than Yesterday. No More heroes should love the ground being by presenting and doesn't raise his knee like a horse that needs soft to my eyes,i adore him and if More of that beats him by more than 2 or 3 lengths i'll be in utter shock, he could beat him but anything more than a hard earned few lengths and i'll be very shocked, we'll find out soon enough.
