    Does anyone know how much I should reduce my calories to ,to either maintain or lose weight . I'm am female , 5 '5 and 187 lbs .thank you

    Assuming you're about 30 (based on date in username being year of birth) in a desk job, your maintenance would be ~ 1950 cals.

    15% reduction gives you a number or 1650 cals.

    Track everything you eat and drink using MyFitnessPal

    Yes I am nearly 30 and I haven't come to terms with that yet! Thanks very much I thought it was a lot less.

    Bear in mind, it's not an exact science so try 1650 as a target and tweak it according to the results you get from that.
