Help needed - Suzuki DF15 reg/rec wiring?

    Greetings,

    I've a rectifier regulator to fit to my Suzuki DF15. Thing is the the model I have is not electric start and I'm not swapping out existing kit - I want the power out to run survey kit and to charge bilge pump battery - and I'm not sure what goes to what.

    There's a red and a yellow wire that have corresponding fittings on the engine, but the other two wires - one black and one white - don't seem to have anything to connect to. I'm wondering if these would normally have gone to the starter...

    I'm assuming/hoping that these cables will be positive and negative to the battery, but loathe to try anything until a little wiser.

    Anyone have any thoughts? Or better still images or wiring diagrams.
