Engine Sound Proofing

Any suggestions for sound proofing an engine? I have an inboard diesel engine and fitting a new engine box that I'm making from Marine ply. I'm looking for ideas to insulate the inside of the engine box with and also the inside of the cuddy where I'm enclosing the cabin. TIA

You can get stuff in Halfords and some good motor factors the silver foil type or felt that goes under the bonnet.

The engine bay in our boat is lined with the Acoustic Foam mentioned in Fergal's link above, it does a fantastic job, i'd highly recommend it!
