This may have been covered already - if apologies.
I am thinking of buying a 26 foot trailer sailor and the beam is 9 foot.
Is this legal to tow in Ireland or what is the max width?
I would have thought 8 foot was the max.

2.9m about 9.5 feet. sorry just checked again it's 2.5m 8.2 foot :o but I think you might be allowed an over hang up to 2.9 not sure though might be worth ringing RSA unless someone else has a big boat and knows.

max is 2.5m wide and you may need a towing license aswell (B+E) depending on weight.
