I decided to take the plunge and buy my first whey protein, is 25% off everything a good value or are there better value discounts on myprotein.ie? which whey protein would you recommend for somebody who isn't fat but has does 2 to 3 kilos extra that he wants to get rid off plus build that muscle mass a bit more to tone up that body?

they sometimes do 30% off, and occasionally 3 for 2, so it's a decent discount, but nothing special.

before you buy it though, ask yourself do you need it, and can you get the extra protein from your normal diet.
it's not some magical muscle gain/fat loss powder, it's literally just protein in a form that's more convenient for some people.

Thanks for the advice, I am aware its not magical and I certainly don't intend to have it everyday, I will have it during those days in which I won't reach my protein quota based on myfitnesspal.
I am just looking for a protein powder that will give me plenty of protein and almost no sugar/carb.

    ok, no probs.

one thing I would suggest for a first timer is to buy a couple of the 250g bags first (and maybe a few 25g samples too), taste is everything with whey protein, and nothing worse than being stuck with a 1kg (or bigger) bag of a flavour you hate.

Yeah , Whey is fine for additional Proteins if you need it , I actually think it's better when cutting weight as when bulking you should be taking in a lot of protein for standard foods with the amount your eating.

Also be aware that you can't lose fat and build muscle at the same time , it's one step at a time.
