Grateful that my son says his low mood is 'just because he is tired'. Hopeful that's he is telling truth.

The Sun is always shining. Sometimes the clouds get in the way is all:)

Well I am grateful for the following - being healthy, having enough to eat, a roof over my head and feeling content with life.

I read Padraig Pearse's poem "The Fool" today for the first time in years. I'm grateful for all the people who struggled and suffered for our freedom.

Grateful to have so much in life, a happy and healthy family, a modest but very nice home, a well paid job.

I was moaning a little during the week about not being completely fulfilled at work, spoke to a neighbour today who hasn't worked in 6 months made me reflect on what I have.

€50 at 6.4 Leicester to be Manchester CIty returned €270.
and €4 at 170 Leicester to win 3-0 (result was 3-1) returned €95 (sold a bit early). The 87th minute goal stopped me winning another €520.

And the birds and the flowers and stuff.

That my granny-in-law celebrates her 90th birthday today.

That nobody will remember in the morning my awful singing tonight.

That I could remember the words of a few ballads and songs, because nobody else fcuking could!! :pac:

That I will have forgotten about tonight by the morning...

My MS has been playing up a bit recently and I am suffering with fatigue and not sleeping properly so I am very grateful for the four hour nap I had earlier. I am even more grateful for the fact that my fella doesn't care that I haven't showered or gotten dressed today!

When did the sun ever give us heat? It was bitterly cold today.

I'm grateful I don't have pneumonia or lung cancer or 5 days to live or any of those things I've been convincing myself I have for the last few days. Flu is the worst.

I'm very grateful that I have my cousin relatively close by to me when everyone else is scattered around the place. He's my best friend and I don't know what I'd do without him to shore me up when times are tough and to take me down a peg or two when I get too big for my boots, and give me a hug when I need a bit of TLC like I have recently. He's one in a million.

Especially when he's not snoring or playing xbox all night in the next room and keeping me awake. And when he doesn't stagger in drunk and clatter around the kitchen like a bull in a china shop. Or hog the only bathroom all day after eating stupid things for a bet.

I was looking at my little daughter asleep after reading to her tonight.
    She makes me so happy

The thoughts of hiring out a bike on hols and hitting the mountains of Spain

Spring on the way ..... The thoughts of planting fresh lettuce etc

Let you into a secret here. I do not have health but I have everything.. and am deeply grateful for all I have. Sometimes adversity grounds you in that way,, My day starts with prayer of thanksgiving.. for the rest I have had, for blanket and pillows, that I can walk, that my body works ( in parts!) . for light at the flick of a switch, for coffee and hot water.. the sheltering roof and abundant food...for clothes and hot water bottles.. for the critters who need me and love me.. for my trusty laptop. For work for my skilled hands to do that will give food to those who have far far less than I have... bad health can simplify and focus...stops me taking things for granted. For the means of grace and the hope of glory..which underpins all else ......and of course THANK YOU for the great company here! OK thank you so now I will face the storm ahead in a better frame of mind!

Came across a cache of seeds I had forgotten I bought half price in Aldi and exulted in the bright images... when the hail is lashing the windows, wonderful thoughts..

Found in a concentration camp.. " I believe in the sun even when it is not shining..." followed by "I believe in God even when I cannot see Him.."

Grateful that I'm awake to live another day. Grateful that I was born into a wealthy western European society with good looks, social competence and artistic endeavour. Grateful that I have the most loving parents, most amazing friends and most dear girlfriend. Grateful that no matter how bad things get or how broke I am, I will never be truly homeless, or truly bankrupt. Grateful that provided no accidents/catastrophes happen I can live a good life past 80. Grateful that our glorious sun rises and shines everyday and gives us air and life and purpose. Grateful when it rains so our flora and fauna grow, which also to me serves as a reminder of our atmosphere, our planet, our galaxy and our privilege as conscious beings to be able to experience the beauty that is life on Earth, which, as far as we know, is insanely unique and miraculous :)

Every morning I wake up and count my blessings. Every night before I go to sleep I thank "God" (whatever it may be) for having allowed me to live another day of peace and pleasure. I constantly think about the other 7 billion lives on this planet, and the hostile, tragic environments so many billions of people reside in for their lives.

I don't want to get too hippy now and go on some existential rant, but I'm telling ya lads, being an Irish person in 2016 is a sweet deal. Don't you forget that!

This just makes me want and yearn and act to give everything I do not need to change that for even a few as my family do. As you say we have so much and far more than we need. Blessings are surely to be shared not hoarded just for us. For everyone. Wherever and whoever. Word of God teaches that over and again.

I'm grateful for the fact I didn't wake up with a very sore throat despite smoking approximately 432 cigarettes last night. I'm grateful for the fact that my local shop had the spicy chicken fillets that I like, which made for a lovely roll. I'm grateful for the fact Arsenal beat Bournemouth.

That's all so far. I'll be finishing the night with a takeaway and a big **** so I'm sure I'll be grateful for both of those too when the time comes so to speak.

Grateful that my baby was born healthy and without too much trouble despite cancer diagnosis a few weeks before

Grateful that the tumour has shrunk significantly and I'm finished chemo+ enjoying being well enough to really enjoy my little girl before I'm chopped+ out of action for a few weeks.
