I've never hid it on here that I'm a mule. See here. (I managed to get out of probation too!)
I also have firearms training done. As other posters have said, you are taught to shoot the centre mass as it's the biggest target. You also shoot to stop, not wound or kill. You are instructed in what to do if the suspect is wearing body armour.
