How about after the Brits vote to remain in Europe the rest of us good europeans call a referendum to throw them out..
That would be fun, especially in the North where both DUP and SF could campaign under the banner "Brits Out"

Uh oh. A half a percentage in Newcastle is a lot closer than the remain side expected..

I have just backed a Leave at 7/2. If the vote at Newcastle is replicated nationwide, then surely Leave wins.

Squeaky bum time, not enough indications to make a firm prediction but it seems like it will be close.

1.39 Remain 3.55 Leave on betfair.

But not by as much as expected

Newcastle was expected to vote Remain comfortably.

Not by nearly enough. Large urban centres with a lower age demographic were expected to carry the Remain vote over the line.

I was fairly confident until 30 mins ago, Newcastle and Sunderland have torn my confidence to shreds. I'm now bricking it.

The European council is made up of the heads of state of each member state.
The council of the European Union is made up of the ministers in government of each member state - so you get agriculture ministers meeting as part of the council of state, foreign ministers and so on.

I am starting to worry, but it is early days.

    Out will be a disaster.

They've only declared 5 constituencies out of 382. Lets not extrapolate too much on too little.

Seems like the Leave vote in Sunderland was significantly stronger than expected.
