    Hi

Just wondering if anyone might know what happens in this case :

I got a tablet pc from china, had to pay about €45 in customs and vat.

It's faulty so I will be returning it and seller has agreed to give me a refund.

Can I also get a refund on the vat/customs I paid as if the item has been returned and refunded then the vat/customs shouldn't apply (in my mind anyway)

Anyone had to do this before?

I think if you speak to Customs, they'll advise you. It should be possible I think, but you'll probably need the original customs clearance paperwork from the company that did the original import.
