I used to drink about 10 cups of tea a day but I had to cut down though because it nearly gave me aids.

I'd drink a fair amount. I always have my thermos mug with me in work, so that'd be about 6 mugs while in work, then between 1 and 4 in the evenings. So somewhere between 7 and 10 mugs a day.

Coffee is the same, don't really drink a lot of either!

I find coffee makes me very thirsty but tea is the opposite. Great thirst quencher. I bring bags of it on holidays with me and get very funny looks when I'm drinking a hot cup of tea in 35 degree weather.

I hate tea and coffee but the mother would drink about 35/40 mugs of tea a day. She has three teabags and 2, sometimes 3, spoons of sugar each time. *pukes a little* How the woman isn't diabetic I have no idea!!!

That's 120 teabags and roughly half a kilo of sugar everyday:eek::eek:

About 3 cups a day and a cup of coffee, no sugar in either. I used to live in house shares and work in offices where tea was made in turns like some factory assembly line - I used to drink gallons and gallons of the stuff but since moving to a non-tea drinking country, I drink a lot less. I fooking love the stuff, though. I should really up my intake.

I don't drink tea or coffee. I love the smell of coffee but I don't like how it tastes. I don't mind tea and I drink it if someone offers me a cup but I'd never make a cup at home.

It's good for water is guess. Since I gave up work, I sometimes forget to drink water whereas before I would drink loads at my desk. I have to make a conscious effort to drink enough water ever day.

I'd say maybe a cup of tea a week for me, usually when I'm a guest somewhere or there is a tea-drinking guest in my home. Probably none otherwise.

2 or 3 cups of coffee a day though.

Not many for me, depending on what I'm doing, somewhere between 8-12 cups a day. Not sure how you can have 'too much'. Seems a nonsensical idea.

If you're having sugar in every cup, that's obviously less than ideal.

Knew a guy who had 10 cups of coffee a day with 3 sugars in each cup, for example.

Personally I really like a cup of strong tea with two sugars, but I almost never drink it.

Would have generally have been 2 coffees and 3-4 cups of tea before, but during pregnancy I'm down to around 3 cups of normal tea and a herbal tea in the evening.

Usually loses its taste after the fifth. Generally have one or two a day. Used to drink it like a fish.

Like the good Captain I'm quite partial to a cup of Earl Grey. Which reminds me, time for my fourth of the day! Tea, Earl Grey, hot! :pac:

I have 4 cups a tea. One at home when I get up and 3 more in work. Dont drink tea in the evening though.

Between 6-8 cups a day, maybe more on the weekend. Only drink it at home as the stuff in work is crap.

I start the day with a small cup of coffee, drunk on the steps of my building. Then it's tea. Tea, tea, tea every 1.5-2 hours, great big cups of it, sometimes by the teapot, all the live long day.

I've had two cups of black tea with cardamom in the last hour, but usually I take it strong with a little milk and one sugar.

    Kettles boiled.

I sympathise re sh1tty work tea, I hate the way some places have crap masquerading as tea. Nasty. I always keep a backup supply in case local stuff is bad.
8-10 cups a day for me, strong, plenty of milk no sugar.

One with breakfeast, maybe 2 if i'm not in the humour. Usually one at my morning break, one at lunch, one when i come home, one after dinner, and one before bed.

So 6 usually, maybe 7 on somedays.

I used to have the odd cup of tea once in a blue moon but in the last year or so I've begun to drink tea regularly. It has to be Barry's and I have semi-skimmed milk in it and three sweeteners, it's sweet and milky and that's how I love it. I usually have 1-2 cups a day, I love nothing more than to have a cup in the morning or if I'm feeling cold, there's something so comforting about it that I never really understood before I started drinking it regularly.

    I don't drink coffee.

I only drink tea if I have a cold or I am very cold (which is rare). As a result when I do drink a cup of tea I am wired.

So 12 cups a day must do something to your system at the very least your body is addicted to caffine? Hence the usual phrase "I'd love a cup of tea" ?

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

I have 2 cups of coffee in the morning then move onto tea. Probably 4-5 cups during the day, maybe an earl grey or green tea on top of that and a herbal tea in the evening.

I'm definitely addicted, I get a headache if I don't have any caffeine!

4-5 cups of tea, just a comfort thing. I can quit when I want! There used to be a priest that comes to our school and he used to put 6 sugars in his tea! I just have a drop of milk. Don't drink coffee.

I have a big mug of tea in the evenings, strong, drop of milk, no sugar. If I'm hungover I could drink 6 - 7 mugs of tea, with a good spoon of sugar.
Anyone else put sugar in tea when hungover?
Big Sportsdirect mug which holds a pint of tea, deadly.
Don't drink coffee, but I do like the smell of it.

I'd say I average around six a day, including weekends. I wouldn't want to do without it - its not an addiction it's just so fantastic that I'd sooner give up just about anything else. Even bacon or gin!

I keep meaning to try the loose tea thing. It looks a lot of effort though when a bag of Twinings will do fine.

I don't drink tea or coffee gave it up after my appendix burst and also gave up coke.

You do get some funny looks when you tell people you don't drink tea.

I will easily put away 8+ cups of coffee up to about 7pm. After, that I switch to tea. I might have three mugs before bed. I find I can sleep with tea but coffee after 6pm would keep me awake. If I really want a coffee in the evening then the de-caff comes out but it's not the same without the caffeine.
