So I saw some rice protein in the shop.

I know people opt for whey protein. I was wondering would rice protein be a bit more natural?
Or would whey protein but worth taking even though it's not a natural food?

You should be able to get enough protein from food, tbh.

Rice protein isnt any more natural than whey protein. Whey is a buy product from making cheese.

    Interesting. Thank you Alf.

Hmm... I don't know I think there is only so much chicken I can eat in one day.

I'm currently trying to eat eggs... (fussy eater).

Whey is the watery liquid you find sitting on top of a decent yoghurt when you open it.

There are plenty of non-chicken foods with protein in them. It might be useful to plug a standard day's food into MyFitnessPal to get an idea of the level of protein you get and how much protein is in different food.

3 eggs would have as much protein as a shake, just to give uou an idea.

Ya, see that's why a shake is so handy. There are some days I doubt I get in any protein at all... apart from peanut butter. :S

Is it just me... or does it create.... wind?!!

I've heard it does for some people. Usually in relation to different brands.

You should try incorporate other protein-rich foods anyway, even if you do use a supplement. Better for your overall diet

"Natural" isn't really a word that means anything. Try whichever one you like. I use pea and hemp but would like to taste rice to see what it is like.

For peanut butter try and get a peanut butter that is 100% peanuts, meridian is great. 1kg for about €7

    God, this.

Typing on an electronic computer, likely having benefited from antibiotics and vaccines, probably having been on a plane recently, with a portable tablet-computer-phone in their pocket, deriding a milk by-product as unnatural.

Nature isn't your friend. It's trying to poison you and eat you and infect you all the time. Nor is technology your enemy, not everything we produce is full of toxins and radiation.

Whey is great protein, it doesn't matter when it came from.
