    Do any of you use the gym at Ballyfermot Sports and Fitness Centre? What's it like? Busy? Good gym equipment? Pleasant environment? etc etc...

    I was going there about 18 months ago.

    Gym is fairly small. I was doing weight training there - there's a squat rack that's in use most of the time during busy periods, and a smith machine. The weights area can get fairly packed after 5.30 weekdays, but fairly empty on the weekends. Plates tend to end up in random places, as do dumbbells but that's not unusual anywhere :) And a lot of lads go there for the chats. But, they're friendly and if ye ask if they're using something etc you'll get a proper response. There's a few treadmills and cross trainers - never saw them out of order but wasn't near them a whole lot either. The area for stretching and floor work can only fit 2-3 people but again, it's not too bad. There's lots of cleaning spray to clean up after yourself, it's never too manky from what I remember. The pool area was just opened as I was leaving there - only got to use it once but it's nice. Again, hopefully it hasn't changed too much since 2014!
