Right lads, I will setup an event at lunch time when I can get to my app. Are we doing a monitors run tonight or just a run through?

Pretty much makes sense to do the monitors every raid run now, since getting the 4th Monitor gives a guaranteed exotic. Just said I'd state the obvious there

Also, a 390 primary (if you can be bothered with the quest two more times after you get it done first time) is some damned nice infusion fuel....

Jonny I did monitors last night with the lads so myself Generic and Conovar will be continuing the quest line tonight.
OK if I drop that spot?

I can definitely be bothered, if for no other reason but to get me to grind more Archons Forge stuff. Have a bunch of bounties sitting there. Now things are kind of awkward between myself and Shiro

me and generic are looking to do the Archons Forge and Sepiks part (Sepiks is nightfall this week so could do it that way or off the 320 director) tonight at around 8. looking to be done with it by 9 and on to raiding.

You have to do the devils lair 320 version, the other version doesnt count from what I know?

I was wondering, isn't the NF one of the activities that give give the highest tier of Loot in terms of Light Level?

Like, can it give 385+ stuff? If so, it makes sense to do those as late as possible in the week.

Given we'll have 3x Full Raids, a whole week of Iron Banner and Some Trials.

I know it's not exactly the end of the world, but now that all my characters are like 375, I want to optimise my chances of getting 385+ gear (if that's even possible)

You can get legendary items over 385. I got a 386 primary, I think it was from the shaxx bounty and got a 386 helm for 5 ToO wins.

4th monitor chest doesn't give anything second time of opening it (no exotic engram) - at least not on the same character you opened it first (thread on reddit stating this)

The only drops you get on a second playthrough is Siva Fragments if you down Aksis (I ran my titan in 4 raids this week so no rewards all week bar the frags haha)

On the same character - yeah, seems certain you don't get loot. On another character, I don't know.

I wonder if it is why they gave you an emblem for opening the chest. Emblem unlocks are account wide - so by giving you the emblem they can run a check against whether you have it or not and give you an exotic or not based on the result (if the lockout is account wide on the engram).

The fact that that specific chest can only be got by running the binary puzzle, which is directly tied to the pulse, it kinda makes sense that it's a once off drop. Only the dedicated would run that quest chain 3 times.

I have no issues running the quest 3 times this week, provided everyone is relitevely sober and on point and willing to kill the raid boss.
The steps in between the 2 raid runs, while fairly involved are not that time consuming. Like maybe takes 2-3 hours.
Then you just sit back and wait to complete the raid the next week

But but but, after you complete a few of the steps on your quest you can then get the siva engine off Shiro, so I think you get that every raid and not worry about the monitors to get the pulse time and time again??

Another user in the same thread says its per character (not account) so three exotic engrams total.

I'll be looking to do the quest another two times after I am done with it this time, but I can see myself trying to put it off to next week as I want to play some Iron Banner this week and doing the raid 5 times along with 2 more nightfalls seems like it wouldn't leave much time for PVP!

you can get the siva engine, but I assume not the quest - and it is the quest that grants the pulse, not the engine.

So you can skip the 1st part of the quest on your alts?
But then i'd lose a guaranteed exotic by not doing the 4th monitor on my alts

So get 1 Outbreak Prime tonight, and then start the quest on the 2 alts by doing the monitors and then get 2 more OPs next week

I meant more in the sense of HAVING to have the pulse on each character, not so much in helping people run the monitor gauntlet.

I'd only ever run the pulse quest once, but would have no issue helping anyone who hasn't.

Do you require a FT of 3 to be on the quest to complete? Or can parts be bluffed?

What's the ideal level for Stage 2 Aksis?

Not sure dude, i just seen you can get the engine again off him and can complete the puzzle thing again etc, I googled it but came up with feck all info.

OP seems to be the beast to run with in trials now
