Big welcome to our new forum mod Steve, with all the extra water around and a hot summer on the way we believe this could be the busiest boating season yet so two mod's will be better than one that doesn't know what he's doing:D

Oooh, that makes two mods I've actually met in real life (however briefly!)

    I'm starstruck :D

ETA - just read Fergal's OP again... what's all this about a hot summer??? You know you'll be held to that, and blamed if when it doesn't happen???

I expect the decks to be swabbed and the brass to be polished by 06:00 every day... no pressure :D

Rowdy bunch! The behaviour frequently is disgraceful here! It's no wonder two Mods are needed!;):D

    Great addition to the team.

We bow to your superior knowledge and your ability to keep the forum on course. I am sure we will raise a glass of port to acknowledge the cut of your jib.

Nope, my attempt at nautical puns were aweigh off the marker.

    Marks for effort, though?

I am taken aback, perhaps a stern demeanour was necessary? By and large too many were at loggerheads and blowing out their gaffs with rhum, most of them three sheets in the wind. Steve (a son of a gun) starts with a clean slate but is running the gauntlet here (although there is no room to swing a cat). He’ll make everyone toe the line and show its plane sailing.
I’ll stop skylarking and cut and run before he shows a leg and there is the devil to pay.
The raggies won't need the italics, they're just for the petrolheads:p:D

Do you prefer triangle - sausage - triangle or windward leewards?
Either way you gotta round them all :D

    (Raggies will get it!)
