    Hi All,
Just wondering if a service was available where you could spend an hour using a flightscope at a range(dublin area) to eg. get yardages or generally all data/numbers for your club/ball...what would you be willing to pay or consider a fair price?
I ask as I purchased a flightscope with the X2 software last year and just haven't used it. I'd like to see it get a bit of use or benifit someone or just sell it.

    What's your opinion?

An expensive piece of kit, are you in the golf business or what was your justification in purchasing it originally?

They're a fantastic device, my pro uses one in conjunction with his lessons and it really adds to the experience and focusing in on the problematic areas. It would be great to have the use of one for winter practice and I've toyed with the idea of a cheaper variety of launch monitor such as the ES14 to try and increase swing speed. The SkyTrak one looks good but again very expensive at over €2k so could never justify that sort of cost for a practice aid even with future prospects of setting up a home simulator.

In terms of flightscope rental, I don't think you'd ever get a return on your investment. You'd probably have to be based full time in a range to oversee it's use and abuse and even then I can't see golfers willing to part with any more than about €25 per hour for self use. Anything more than that and better value could be obtained from a lesson or club fitting session which incorporates use of a launch monitor. Another downside is that most golfers wouldn't have the interest or knowledge to interpret the numbers and what they represent in relation to their swing so again you'd probably have to be personally on hand to go through some of the detail initially.

I'd expect selling it would be your best option if you've no prospects of using it yourself in future. That said it mightn't be an easy sale as a very specialist and expensive devise so can't see anyone outside of a pro or golf shop being interested.

You could always look a corporate hire, you would need to buy the E6 simulation add-on but with the right gigs you could make €15k to €20k a year (that is a guess but I don't think I would be too far off the mark)

Not a huge fan of flight scope myself I much prefer foresight or track man. Is it the x2 elite or the old model ?
