I do a lot of cardio and I'm pretty happy with my weight. But I've basically no upper body strength. My goal is to be able to do chin up's....silly I know, but I'm so jealous of other women in my gym that can do this. At the moment I can just about do a couple of girly press ups....full press up, not a chance. I'd like some advice on where to start. Any advice would be welcome. Thank you!

Find a trainer who knows what they're doing. Spend the next 12-24 months patiently following their advice. Get chin ups :)

Practice press ups daily until you can manage one full press up with an eye on technique.

You can buy chin up bars that attach to door frames and they're fairly cheap. Pick one up and buy some resistance bands. Start your chin ups with those (under grip is easiest - works the biceps) and again work your way through until you use the band which gives the least assistance. You can then leave the bands off altogether :)

    Good luck
