    Don't get that one?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 363 ✭✭vinpaul

30 dn BROGAN ~~~Bernard Brogan captain of International Rules Team against Australia.
DON is a Belt or Grade in Martial Arts.

Only one with doubts now is DIVE or DOPE. Will have to do some thinking on that. Inclined to go towards DOPE

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 504 ✭✭✭ustari

Ah right, wouldn't have thought of Intl Rules captaincy at all. Went through every other sport pretty much.

Yes I agree with the DOPE one, DOPE sounds most likely but a little gammy at the same time?

I went with dame as in dame Kelly Holmes . But it's the kind of answer you can't be sure of . The crossword compiler can really say it's either
I went with dame as its how them royals talk . "One is being honoured " type of talk

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 83 ✭✭bressi

I'm in the Briggs camp. It was my answer until someone else suggested Brogan. Both equally valid I suppose but would go for Briggs for longevity
