Up another 50k or so paces today to 644k. Good haul tomorrow from Ozil, Giroud & KDB and hopefully will be touching 500k!

I'm giving serious consideration to a gw 20 wildcard. Going to look at some data from past seasons about dgws tomorrow.

69 points with Ozil and Bellerín to play. 37,104 overall.

I'm waiting for my good luck to run out and once it goes I probably end up roughly were I finished last year in 2,286,420 place...

45 points with four to go - Bellerin, Kolarov, Ozil and KDB. I'd take 0-0 now. Would net me 18 points.

me too! and if its nil all maybe some bonus for bellerin of kolarov
sure we will call it 20 :D
I've a feeling it won't be the goalfest some are expecting which lead me to being so uneasy about benching both of them and eventually playing bench boost!

It better be a goal fest for both teams, I've Cech on the bench and a load of lads have Bellerin and Kolarov in their teams.

    I've 3 attackers (1 captained)

This match is nailed on under 2.5 goals!!!

After today I'm not ruling it out. Gw22 or 23 maybe.

70 with Ozil, De Bruyne & Kolarov to play.

I dropped Bellerin for Nyom which worked out so far. Hoping both teams will concede but hopefully those 3 will be involved in any goals going on

Alot of inactive squads now, ~37%, which is pulling down the real average. Top 1k average is 60 points

77 points with Ozil and Bellerín to play.

Same score and down 50k (so far)...

Agh.... 57 points with Ozil and kdb to go.

Watford's heroics today ensured my biggest differential Henderson was a spectacular failure, compounding my agony after my decision to transfer him in for Barkley, who decides yesterday was the day he would defy logic and touch the ball in the box more than his last 4 games combined. Another ighalo explosion ensures my 40k green arrow has reverted to a 20k red arrow.

Kolarov and Bellerin sitting on my bench, virtually ensuring tomorrow's game will be a cagey 0-0. Evans contributing a fantastic 0 on the pitch, coupled with Wollscheid's 1 pointer means that just one of them has to play to outscore the two defenders I decided we're the logical choice, but I forgot that logical choices are severely punished in this ridiculous season.

Mahrez(c) was the only shining light, everyone else who scored well on my team are highly owned so virtually worthless. Hopefully, the more meticulous and analytical players will gain a bit of ground over Christmas, but the way this seasons going, they'll once again be outdone by 'casuals'.

I haven't been this angry about the game in a while. Im not even as bad off as some far more experienced and skilful posters on here, but I'm equally frustrated. I just want this illogical and ridiculous season to end, or at least return to some element of normality, because atm, this just isn't right

Jesus Ighalo annoys me. Mahrez (C) and only a very slight green. No offence intended to people with bad weeks as I know that stuff can be annoying :)

Is that 37% typical of previous seasons? Was initially surprised but have given up on it myself once or twice.

    63 means I'm up 10k to 93k
Just Ozil to play so probably another red arrow.
    Very frustrating season.

First time ive seen a stat on inactive squads and i dont see data on fffix for previous seasons but it does beome apparent around xmas almost every season that the average is lower because of inactive players and that the real average is about 5-10 points higher. FPL should deal with this problem tbh

Ighalo and the 3 CS today caused me a 90k fall down to 316k :pac:...

I'm 14 pts behind the top 10k average. 4 players tomorrow while the average players played is 8.3 so far (for top 10k). Need my 1.3 players differentials tomorrow to have the game of their life. And this 1.3 (looking at players ownership) is Bellerin & 1/3 KDB.

It truly is a mad season.

Last years champions are 5th last.
The team that was last place a year ago is first.
A player who couldn't get his place in that last placed team is now the best player in the league.
A promoted side is 2 points off the Champions league spots.
Another promoted side just beat 2 of last years top 4 back to back.
Man United don't know what attacking football is and just lost at home to Norwich who haven't won at Old Trafford in 26 years.
Last years player of the season hasn't scored in 20 something games.
    Lukaku is a reliable captain.
    Southampton can't defend.
    Stoke are keeping clean sheets....

    The list goes on.

One disagreement with your list FHFC.

Stoke used to be one of the most reliable team for CS (granted not particularly last season but still your statement about them sounds a bit harsh).

All that is needed is for Andros Townsend to start performing :)

Under Pulis yes of course they were. But under Hughes they're generally useless for clean sheets. Didn't concede many but usually one per game. They were the same for the first 7 games this season too (not 1 CS). That they have suddenly kept 7 in the last 10 games is as big an oddity as any of the other stuff.

I feel like I could go on for days listing all the ridiculous things about this season. No matter what I do, I can't stop the rot and I just keep seeing red arrow after red arrow.

Hopefully, after Christmas we will see things return to some sense of normality. Chelsea, and possibly United, will have new managers, and probably new players Leicester's squad depth will be tested, along with the other high flying 'surprise' teams.

The big players, provided they stay fit, will, as you say, 'regress to the mean'. The overperforming small players likewise. Captain choices should then be less of a lottery. Team value will become more important, as will picking the right budget players to accomodate the big hitters.

Plus, we have the prospect of DGW's, and the dilemma of playing the chips, which a lot of currently high ranked teams will have already used.

But, I wonder will things change. Every week, we've been expecting things to revert back to normal. But Chelsea keep losing. Leicester keep winning. Vardez and ighalo keep scoring. Stoke keep getting clean sheets. United can't score. Maybe this is normal, for this season at least. I really hope things change, because I'm getting really frustrated atm, and I may stop caring if they don't

I felt I was rolling with the punches reasonably up till 3 weeks ago. Struggling around 2 to 300k is frustrating but I could take it in the hope of a second half of the season regression.

But just as I hoped to climb the rankings through Xmas I've suddenly tumbled from 295k to 735k in THREE weeks. And I'll fall further this week yet.

Not quite as bad off as yourself at ~250k tonight, with more of a fall to come. And the only reason I'm not a lot worse is a good WC which lead to unbelievable Gw8 and Gw9, in which I amassed over 20% of my total points. Since then it's been 8 consecutive red arrows. And while I feel I can turn it around over and after Christmas, the most frustrating part is watching others making bad choices and being rewarded. Every 50/50 seems to go wrong, and I've had only 6/7 captains returns higher than 2 all season. Every other captain has failed. Once again, things will change, and hopefully sooner rather than later

Ouch, that's a nasty drop in just 3 weeks. How's your team looking now, you think you need wholesale changes or just a bit of luck for it to turn around?
Until this week, had 8 weeks of red arrows dropping from 150k to about 470k, finally looking like might get a green arrow this week.
