Been training at home with dumbbells to now but need to move onto barbell. Will join a gym in new year but beforehand want to get 4 to 5 sessions with a personal trainer to make sure my form is correct. Do trainers work from their own premises\gym generally or do I need to be a member of a gym and they come along there? Also can ayone recommend good trainer for weights in cork city?

Any gym you join will likely have trainers that work with them on their premises and can give you some lessons.
