Missed Opportunities

I was just reminded tonight of a short film I made in my college days, about invisible killer rabbits. My tutor said it was the most horrific thing he ever saw, so it must have been good. It's sadly now lost in the mists of time, otherwise you folks could be reading the musings of the next Sam Raimi or Danny Boyle.

Have you ever looked back and thought of a possible opportunity you have missed? How do you feel about it now?

I went to the toilet earlier to urinate, I now need to take a crap. I could have done the crap earlier when I urinated. I feel mad about this.

I should have listened to my heart and taken that mechanical apprenticeship. Sometimes, kids do know better than parents.

I was a shy young fella and was away for a long weekend down the country by the sea with my mates when we were 16.

We spent it trying to get served in bars and occasionally succeeding.

I meet this girl that I liked and we hung around most of the time we were there she was 18. I was too nervous to do anything with here at the time. I wasn't confident at all. On the bus on the way home my mate tells me that he spoke to her when I wasn't there and she was really interested in me and wanted to sleep with me. He said that he had forgot to mention it to me.

Still kick myself about that sometimes and still want to kick him sometimes for not saying anything to me. She was fit.

I did a FAS course on film and video back in the dark ages, where I'd to write a script and then create a short movie.

Twas considered quite good, I could have had a career in it.

INstead I ended up in IT :(

Must have a wee hoke in the attic when I get home, I just might have an S-VHS copy of mine up there. Anyone know if that can be converted to any other format, or have I forever missed my chance at fame and fortune?

How did he manage to see invisible killer rabbits?

Plus the 'must have been good' is a bit of a stretch.

Fairly certain it can be converted :)

My former supervisor is now a priest so I doubt he kept copies :)

Went from terrorist to student to fas supervisor to priest

How did who manage to see what? You haven't even seen the film, did you ask Spielberg how did Schneider know Jaws was a killer?! Leave me alone, this is the craps us amateur filmmakers have to put up with :(

    Your tutor.

Schneider? You mean Scheider. No R.

    A common mistake.

One does not need to "see" killer rabbits to be f**king terrified by them. I, for one, will not be able to sleep a wink tonight just thinking of the fluffy little monsters. Every shadow crossing my bedroom wall will now be bunny ears to me.

I can only imagine that if I had actually seen the film I would be intellectually and emotionally scarred for life. That's how powerful this story is.

How will I ever live with the shame? :(

And me doing a parody of him in that jazzy film for another college project. That's definitely lost, thank fcuk! :D

Enough material there to fill out one of those Sunday night two part dramas they show occasionally on RTE...or at the very least one of those US style TV movies starring Joan van Ark.

Do invisible rabbits have visible shadows?

Do invisible rabbits have visible shadows?

    Depends on the budget.

    In my masterpiece, no.

    It's in the tape!!

Another problem I have, I can't remember the actors in this, one was from Antrim town and another rode a motorbike and I can't remember who else is in it.

Don't have a video recorder and S-VHS won't play on a normal one anyway :(
