Even though Sheamus robbed Roman Reigns of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series last week, The Big Dog is riding a wave of momentum leading up to his Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match with The Celtic Warrior at WWE TLC. Will Reigns once again deliver some steel justice to Sheamus and his allies, Rusev and King Barrett?

    1. New extremes for Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns is always intense, but The Big Dog has taken his aggression up a notch since Survivor Series, where the opportunistic Sheamus used his Money in the Bank contract to rip Reigns’ title away from him in his moment of triumph. Now, per The Authority, Reigns will clash with The Celtic Warrior for the title in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match at WWE TLC — a bout that seems to favor the challenger in ways neither Triple H nor Stephanie McMahon expected. Sheamus certainly talked a big game on SmackDown, likening Reigns to a “walking, talking Adele song,” but those bold words came just days after The Big Dog made The Celtic Warrior, Rusev and King Barrett say “Hello” to a steel chair on Raw. Will Sheamus keep his distance this Monday night, as a determined Reigns looks to their high-stakes, career-threatening collision?

    2. The Lunatic Champion?
On SmackDown, the wily Dean Ambrose conquered both Tyler Breeze and Dolph Ziggler to become No. 1 Contender to Kevin Owens’ Intercontinental Championship. That accomplishment clearly didn’t sit very well with the prizefighter, who walked away from the ready-to-brawl Lunatic Fringe at the end of the night.

With his defeat at the hands of Ambrose in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament fresh in his mind, Owens must be aware that his days as Intercontinental Champion could very well be numbered — a realization that might explain his reluctance to battle his unstable future challenger Thursday night. But what if Owens is simply waiting to fight on his own terms? Will Owens send a message to Ambrose on Raw?

    3. Poor table manners
We don’t want to imagine what Thanksgiving is like in the Wyatt compound, but The Eater of Worlds and his cruel kin gorged themselves on destruction this past Thursday on SmackDown, where they destroyed D-Von Dudley and sent his brother Bubba Ray through a table — using The Dudley Boyz’ own pine-splintering pastime against them.

Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman have twice obliterated Dudleyville’s favorite sons since Survivor Series, but something tells us the macabre quartet is just getting started. What sinister plans do The Wyatt Family have for Raw?

    4. Far from finished
After Paige accused Charlotte of cheating to retain her Divas Championship at Survivor Series, the raven-haired aggressor argued for a rematch against the titleholder on Raw — an intensely personal bout that ended in a double count-out when the action spilled outside the ring. Afterward, The Diva of Tomorrow vented her frustrations against her former friend by trapping Charlotte in the PTO atop the announce table, forcing the champion to scream out in agony.
Paige went on to steal a victory from Charlotte’s ally Becky Lynch on SmackDown, clearly sending a message to the Divas Champion. Will Charlotte attain retribution this week?

    5. Leftovers for The New Day?
Thanks to a little help from The Gobbledy Gooker, The Usos and The Lucha Dragons spoiled The New Day’s “fowl” Thanksgiving festivities on SmackDown, when Jey Uso disguised himself as the notorious turkey and cost the WWE Tag Team Champions a non-title match against Sin Cara & Kalisto. Then, after revealing himself as the feathered fiend, Jey took flight off the top rope — in the infamous costume — and hit a big splash on a helpless Xavier Woods. For the first time in 25 years, the WWE Universe was actually happy to see The Gobbledy Gooker in a WWE ring.

After suffering that humiliation, what’s The New Day’s next move? Are The Usos and The Lucha Dragons going to somehow parlay their Thanksgiving triumph into a WWE Tag Team Championship opportunity? If so, which team is more worthy of that honor? Expect more tag team chaos on Raw.

Jesus, not even one post since the show started! Bad times for the 'E.

Any ways, thought that segment was a car crash. Keep New Day well away from Sheamus, won't do the any favours.

Interesting main event for once, and typical that it's on the one night I'm not waiting up for it. I'll watch the rest tomorrow.

What do you think is going to happen, they'd hardly switch the title to Reigns already tonight?

Somehow gets turned into an 8 man tag. Sheamus mates with New day now and Roman talking to the 3 lads backstage.

either that or a dq is going to happen.

Hopefully we get some sort of a match between the 2 of them beforehand if it happens.

i for one love the team of the usos, dean ambrose and roman reigns :D gives me happy feels.

    and that segment was awful

Did Triple H basically just tell us that Roman Reigns is going to beat Sheamus by disqualification or countout in less that 5 minutes and 15 seconds just there? That's kinda dumb.

I thought we were about to get spike Dudley vs braun strauman there for a second!

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

I genuinely thought it was going to be Spike there, since it was rumored when they came back!

Normally I'd say there's practically no chance of a title change in this situation but the high-profile low ratings leave me thinking there is a small chance of a title change tonight. It depends how rattled Vince is.

I would say there is about a 20 per cent chance of Reigns winning so I wouldn't expect it by any means but nor would I rule it out completely.

When I began reading your last sentence there I automatically heard it in Scott Steiner's voice. The guy has taken over percentages in my inner monologue for the rest of my life I guess. I think it's a bit foolish to do the pay per view main event already but what else is new?

Think i can see a trend here

The Uso's to win this match, Then HHH telling the Uso's that if Roman don't win there out of the Title Race?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,315 ✭✭✭sunbabe08

I wish they sent the others packing and just called the whole show. They'd do a better job probably.

Yippee a full match on RAW without an adbreak

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

I was half expecting them to go to a break and come back with about 30 seconds left there.

Some interesting stuff. I'm not sure who the Charlotte turn is for the benefit of but at least it looks like Becky will have a prominent role. Paige was actually good in her role for once and not a tryhard.

They really are laying it on thick with Reigns as the underdog up against it. Does anyone think they're going to get the desired result? I actually like Reigns and they handled him well post WM up until Survivor Series. Now it feels like they're forcing people to love him again instead of letting it be organic. They really are dumb.

League of Nations sounds like something created in a WWE2K story mode but I suppose I'll go with it.

I actually really liked that Raw.

The (Evil) League of Nations actually looked really good this week (I complained last week they didn't). New Day were all over the show. Del Rio aligning with the League works significantly better than the Mex-America nonsense. Reigns vs Sheamus worked as a tease for their match without giving away too much; the gimmick tonight actually worked very well.

Charlotte becoming a tweener means the Becky/Paige/Charlotte feud can develop. Sasha looks good. Wyatts vs Team ECW should be great fun at the PPV.

Only blip imo is that Rusev shouldn't have lost once paired back with Lana; instead, he should have killed Ryback to show the two back together can be dominant again. But by the end of the show, that was forgotten.

So yeah, thought that was a really, really solid episode. Stories progressed, characters developed and the PPV was hyped well. Great work.
