Does anyone know if there are such things as support groups for women (or men) who have been in abusive relationships?

Do you mean face to face ones? There is a number of them around the country run by local women's groups and WOVE (women overcoming violent experiences). Womens Aid or Safe Ireland would be able to give you specific contacts for different parts of the country. I'm not sure if there are any for men, Amen might be able to advise you on that.
