That is tiny mileage for 4 years.
    Beautiful looking car.
Didn't look for part ex price?

Quite a few enquiries about my car over the last few days, have a couple of people coming to look at it tomorrow so we'll see how it goes.

    How did this go?

After what they were giving against a BMW there wasn't any point really.

Not sure what margin they'll have in the A7 to work with to be honest.

This 430d do anything for you Mark, appeared on my youtube feed today but doesn't seem to be listed on their site yet:

That 330d x drive touring I linked up north is great value if you wanted something more practical.
    Not even two years old.
    You'd have it less than 32 k I reckon.

I know of a 2013 330d identical to that one, same colour combo, slightly better spec and in perfect condition with low millage too if it suited anyone better. Was close to buying it myself at one stage. Better value again as it's bit further down the depreciation path.

    Cheers!

    A7, 640D coupe, G30 520d. I think.

I'll offer what I think the Howth one is worth factoring in what they can be got for in the UK and they'll either shake my hand or won't.

The A7 has the appeal of its 2013, proper warranty, hopefully able to get a decent discount as it would be car number 6 I think from Frank Keane. And it's something different. Down on power but more than enough for the driving I do.

G30, lovely, I get it's not at a 6 series level but it would be a brand new car. Probably will work out too dear anyway.

I did look at the prices of 2006 911s but I kind of like being married.

Kind of put off by the size of them. Love the red and the leather though. The wood not so much.

    What's the budget?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,513 ✭✭✭MarkN

    What's the budget?

Monthly budget of about €700 max.

If buying used that's very late 30s.

    Bi turbo goodness

Dunno would that come in under your €700 budget?

Edit: Probably not as it is in the 40's.

Any places I'm missing for ads in the UK apart from Pistonheads, Parkers, Auto trader etc? There's good value in the 2013, even a 2014 640 I found but the VRT on 2013 and 2014 is €10,000 and €11,500. Values on 2012s over there are strong enough.

Merlin have a 132 gun metal grey 640d with 38000km for auction Mark. Don't know if you would go down that route though. I went along for a look last year with no intention of buying but was surprised how cheap things went for on the night.

That's Joe Duffy direct. I wonder why it's not being retailed? Partial service history as well.

Coupe or Gran do you know?

Went to Beshoffs earlier to have another look at the 640s, they're just fantastic inside and out. Reckon we'll be able to do a deal on one of them that would make going to the UK much of a muchness. Full 12 month warranty being offered too.

Want to see what the A7 would work out monthly in the morning and then I'll be in a clearer place in my head. Although the 640 gives me a different feeling in the giddies to the A7.

It's Gran Coupe. It's on their Facebook feed. Looks nice but it does have an M6 badge which would have to come off!

    Tuesday morning 10:30 it's up.

Yeah, standard is the way for me when it comes to cars. Those exhausts and rear splitter etc too OTT for a car like that.

    I think you're a bmw man Mark.
Can't see the A7 winning this one.
Both of those 640d's look good in beshoffs. Is one higher spec than the other?

Do Beshoff's still have the silver 430d GC Mark?

    They do. Saw it yesterday.

One of the 640s has 20,000kms more but has a sunroof and heads up display, both the same price although slightly more wiggle room in the slightly less specced one. Out of the two I'd probably go for the one with the roof as I don't do more than 10,000-12,000kms a year. That said, while 90k isn't big at all, there would be UK ones with less on the clock. But I've seen this one in the flesh, I've seen the condition of it, for maybe €1-2000 saving (not including travelling to the UK etc) and a 12 month warranty up the road from me is it worth it?

Would any of you take the A7 over a 640?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,146 ✭✭✭James Bond Junior

A Bitdi maybe but I wouldn't anyway. 640d m sport in carbon black with cream interior would've a much nicer place than the surprisingly cramped A7's cabin.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,445 ✭✭✭Wailin

Those A7's are nice but 640d is just stunning. They look a lot bigger too, not sure if they actually are though.

No. The 6 series wins here.
