    2 questions.

Firstly, was looking at a factory docket yesterday and there were 3 levies with a code against each so couldn't tell which was IFA - what is the IFA levy code?

Second, if someone is not a member of ifa, do they still make the automatic deductions from mart, factory sales?

    IFA is EIF levy.
Yeah, even if you're not a member they still take your money.
You need to stop this ASAP.

The only good out of all this debacle is that every farmer will wise up to the illegal deduction and stop it.

Was just wondering? would it only cost something like 12 euro to make an application to the small claims court. Would it be possible to get money back as they took it without permission? Or is the whole thing governed by the ICOS ? In that case it wouldn't be possible cos they are exempt form the law and can do what ever they like to members.

IFA don't go to court if at all possible.
but if we did we'd have the best legal team.
We have a solicitor practically on site, and others well informed on law.
So you can take it that if IFA is doing something, it's well advised.
Even at if there's something going on, road deal, windmill deal, esb etc extra experts are brought in

Maybe I should get back to the other website where I'm trying to encourage a Jihadist to try an Irish breakfast. He sounds a bit less extreme than the people in the farm centre. If I can just advise him of the danger of wearing his belt while hes standing near the cooker! Got to rush!

No Rangler you want to close this thread down by the use of fear and some implied threats. Sorry but in my book that's a very grey area you are getting in to. By the way I'm sure they know who I am as well but as I no longer supply Dg they have no way of getting at me anymore.

oh I hate people spinning my posts, I don't answer to any one now either.
I wouldn't call a bit of proposed culling of the top table up there exactly a physical or violent threat,,,,just a threat to follow through

Your joke on the other hand was very bad taste in the last week we had.

Will you please drop the jihadist analogy, it's tiresome even the first time and isn't appropriate in this context given the appalling loss of life in Paris last week.

If that's meant to be a joke it's in extremely poor taste. Do not use that sort of comparison again, you would be getting carded in a lot of other forums for using that sort of phrasing.

I don't see how any comparison to Jihads is suitable or needed in a discussion about the IFA. I also cannot force posters to comment if they don't want to- I'm only here to referee.

IFA threads have has been going since Boards opened. Anybody with even half an intellect was questioning the Bona Fides of The Irish 'Farmers' Association along the way. The most scary thing is that the are STILL farmers out there with even a modium of faith in this sell-out of an organisation. ABP, Glanbia, Kerry Group et al must be having a right laugh.
The sooner the IFA is disbanded and a proper representative force appears then the sooner Irish Agriculture can become a force again for actual farmers instead of spin merchants and shareholders.

"Nothing much to see lads here; time to move on". This is typical of the attitude pervailing Irish Agriculture since the 1990's. Irish farmers have been sold out by the IFA and their politik for years. Everybody BUT farmers now run Irish Agriculture. Even the Farmers Journal is just a spin doctor for the IFA and a means of Irish Banks peddling their on-farm investment loans.
Farmers are losing at a time when they should be winning. TV, newspaper etc. features the new property and it is called food yet we feel like we hold the begging bowl when we sell our produce.

yea had a great time and was very lucky with trips and even won the fbd trip in our county and always seemed to be in the committees when there was one going. and the ordinary committees only went every 6 or 7 years Fbd paid for most and we'd have a few of the FBD guys with us. I'd say they'll be few and far between now for a while.
