If you get paid even when they don't turn up I would laugh. If you DON'T, well then, you have a point and you have my permission to be TOTALLY TA'D.

You can't beat the claustrophobia of a U Boat for tension, although Das Boot is a long old film preferably in the English subtitles, it seems to work better. Another great submarine drama is the film U-571 about the attempts to get the enigma machine from the U Boats and one of the reasons the Germans nearly won the battle of the oceans.

Is the U571 film the one where the Americans got the enigma code, but in real life the Enigma was found the year before America entered the war??

Do you want a suggestion for very good foreign WW2 film, It's a Russian one called "The Bomber" it's 181 minutes long and didn't get boring.

I was looking for another film on dvd recently, seen it once ages ago on TV called "Pretty village, Pretty flame" The flippin price of it, from £20 up to £80 new, wont be watching that film again anytime soon.

I left and I don't get paid if they don't show up! Turns out that they're away for the week but never told me! I waited half an hour!!! I'm very TA'D.

That is so VERY (not TA) bad. People these days huh!

You are SO entitled to be TA'd although I would call it mightily P"ssed off!

Tis the silly season though, and SOME only think of the next beer.

Get mad, but get even some day too lol.

So I had no internet for a few hours, rang my ISP and this is what they told me - "We are currently winterproofing the network." Yes I kid you not. It's the 4th of December and the gobshytes are winterproofing the network. Now it might have made more sense if they did that back in October. But what exactly is winterproofing anyway? They did remove their sandals, shades & beach towels from the top of their WiFi masts?

Well it looks like my ISP winterproofing the network earlier, has had immediate results for me......

Annoyed at how I have literally nothing to put on my CV. There's only so much you can say about charity work and awards from school and college :(

Reminds me of the time Marge Simpson wanted to get a job and had to write her CV, so she wrote something like '1985 to date - Homekeeper'. Lisa walked in, read it, and thought it'd be best to plump up the CV; so, to help, she typed furiously for what felt like ages, and handed the document to her mother. Marge was impressed, but said 'Are you sure I can honestly say I'm a curator of large mammals?'. Just then Homer walks in in his y-fronts scratching his backside and asks 'Marge, have you seen my pants?'

Marge smiles, looks at Lisa and says 'Ooooh, I see what you mean...' :D

Haha, I remember that one actually :D

That's the sort of rubbish I put on cover letters, using fancy words to basically say that I can make coffee and serve food. I think everyone does it though..
    ..surely :pac:

Things that are annoying me at the moment:

    - All of a sudden there are 'Black Friday' sales EVERYWHERE. When did this stop being a bizarre American affectation and suddenly start springing up here? Was some collective memo sent around that I didn't see? Are we going to have to start celebrating Thanksgiving next?

    - Dark nights and lashing rain. An absolute pain in the hole when you work nights as I do. Going to bed in the dark, getting up in the dark. I thought about heading out for a few pints earlier but there so much rain I'd nearly need a canoe to make it down to the local.

    - Noisy neighbours playing arabic dance music all night long, yet whenever I see them in the corridor they're all decked out in burqas and refuse to get in the elevator unless the husband is with them.

Trivial things that make me happy:

    - The sound of Group4 security kicking said neighbours door down at four in the morning.

A friend of mine went in to the family business when he left school. He, his father and his grandfather were in "reclamation and recycling of ossified materials and fossils"

That would be rag and bone men to you and me:D

And it's just a mass clearance sale of old stock/outdated product lines to the public. It was going into the bin anyway and it's just packaged to give the illusion of a bargain.

Go to the ATM to withdraw €70.

"Sorry we can only give out multiples of 50" *spits out card*

Why don't you ask me if I would like to change my withdrawal request amount instead of making me start process all over again?!
