More than a little TA'd that I bought a phone holder thing from Lidl today and the suction cup won't stick to the car window.... I also completely butchered the packaging for it (that Fort Knox plastic that requires attacking with a Stanley knife)

Did that first... Didn't work. Then read the leaflet inside (which I'm loath to do... Because I know EVERYTHING) and it said make sure the surfaces were dry and clean... So I did it that way too. Still didn't work.
Conclusion = 'tis a "hape o' shíte"

Try heating up the rubbery part with a hairdryer, if the suction cup is warmer it's also softer and it might stick better... Assuming it has a suction cup...

Had to drive somewhere earlier, traffic was bad enough. The idiot in front of me was playing around with his phone the entire time. He was clearly not focussing on the road and was going all over the place when traffic was moving cos he was too busy texting.

I bought a lovely new winter coat a while ago but wore it for the first time this week. Discovered that the zips on the cuffs are a bit to jangly for my liking and they keep hitting off the gear stick and steering wheel while I'm driving.

They're not too jangly for me to stop wearing it completely, but enough for me to be mildly irritated every time I wear it driving.
