TA'd that the Tattoo & Piercing Forum is so quiet these days. I posted up a topic asking if anyone could recommend an artist who can replicate a lovely sketchy style by an artist named L'oiseau aka Franck Soler. He's based in France and his work is *GORGEOUS*. Alas, I can't afford a flight to France so I'm looking for someone who can replicate his style on the homefront... It's been 3 hours and no replies. Granted, I'm known for my lack of patience these days but still...
Also, my teeth literally ache from all the Jolly Ranchers I guzzled today. Blue raspberry, y u so delish?!

Read your new books and wait.

I'm TA'd that I still haven't managed to find the nerve to get a tattoo.

Spent ages putting on nail varnish, it's not cheap stuff, there's a two bottle system that's supposed to end up staying on for 3 weeks... I put it on an hour ago and it's chipped on one finger already. I'll just have to have chipped nail varnish in work tomorrow because there's no way I'm taking it off and putting it on again.

Same. A related TA of mine is not knowing what I want.

I know the feeling. My first one was a design I'd loved for years and when I was 16, I was dead set on getting it but decided to wait a while to see if I'd still like it when I was legally old enough to get it. Ended up getting my first ink at 23 and whilst it was very painful (on the wrist, over the nerve. Definite ouch!), my only regret is that I didn't get it sooner.
You really have nothing to worry about other than your own pain tolerance if you have a design in mind. :)
It's a lot of fun planning a tattoo so I wish you good luck with it!

    As for my trivial annoyance?
I tried a grape flavored Jolly Rancher and it is without a doubt the worst candy I have ever tasted. Nearly puked! It has such a vile, blatantly chemical taste. Wrong on so many levels. Also, I'm down to just two green apples and an assortment of cherry and watermelon. I don't like watermelon in general but I bet it can't be worse than grape.
A pox on whoever thought grape would be a good flavor for a hard candy!

    Thank you :)

My plan is for some words running from my left side to under my boob. I'm worried that I won't be able to tolerate the pain and the artist will have to stop. So I'll be left with an unfinished tattoo. Maybe I should get something tiny some place soft.

Ya but it would look pretty crap if I can only tolerate two words and not be able to return.

Like the title of this thread suggests, it stands for 'Trivial Annoyance/s' :)

Hmmm, difficult for me to gauge the scale of pain on a rib/underboob tat as I don't have any in that area meself. That said, I once accompanied a friend to the local tattoo parlour and she got a massive chest/rib piece.
This girl was a tiny slip of a thing, no meat on her at all and whilst she dug her nails into my hand so hard I was left with a dent in me flesh for a week, to her credit, she never cried or screamed. It was her first major tattoo too.
Not saying you'd react the same but everyone has a different tolerance of pain.
Besides, most artist I know tend to start off slowly and gently ease you into the tattoo so with any luck, you should gradually get used to the sensation as you go along.
Weirdly for me, when I got my last one (two words on my inner arm, below the elbow), it only really started hurting when the artist drew ever closer to the crock of my elbow- he worked backwards from the last letter to the first and by the time he finished the point of the first M (in Memento), I had tears in my eyes. That being said, it was all in all a 6 on the pain scale. So again, the pain varies from person to person.
I'm not an expert by any means but I do read a helluva lot about tattooing as I find the whole notion fascinating. :)

Back on topic: I tried one of the watermelon candies. Not as bad as grape but still pretty rank. Right now, my teeth hurt from all the sugar and I'm starting to crash. Kind of annoyed that I have to be up for my writing class in about 6 hours and I've procrastinated the entire night away watching cat videos on Youtube.

May you have twice the number Mr Blues :)

I'm annoyed that the movie thread turned me in to some kind of nut! I might have a little look in now though.

:D:D:D I can't guess any of them now. A lot of them are too obscure for me, so I'm lost:)

I have one tattoo, it's large enough though and I know what I want to get for my next one but it will be expensive, think I will wait until I get back down to my goal weight and treat myself then.

TA'd that I have a sense of foreboding that I just can't shake, like something bad is going to happen.

Havent been on here for a while and I'm probably going to TA a lot of people if this is a repost....

but I'm TA'd how politicians who win a seat in the elections are held up in the air by their supporters like a kid getting the birthday bumps...

TAd that someone is persisting in following me round boards after being told to add me to "ignore". I am not imagining it, Yesterday after days away because of a family bereavement, I posted in weather, and on the happy thread and sure enough he pops up almost immediately afterwards on both. Boards he does not usually or often It is unnerving frankly and I am glad that folk do not quote my posts. PLEASE STOP THIS else I will have to leave boards as ha happened before for the same reason. Too old and fragile for this. Has been going on for months ..Sorry, in tears here. I( enjoy boards but this is too much for me. Offline now. Blessings and peace

Yes, there was a trend for a while to sew spare buttons on the label too

    Ugly people on posters.
A foreign friend asked "why do they all look so retarded?" :pac: as half of them looked a bit out of it on the posters :D
