When you're waiting to cross the road near your luas stop and the light takes ages to change. Your train goes past and into the stop, and then finally the light goes green for you to cross. It's still a little walk to get to the stop though and it looks like the train is about to leave so no point legging it to try and get it. Only there's a delay and the train is still there when you're almost at the stop. So you decide to run and just when you get there the train leaves. :(

I'm exactly the same. The thoughts of driving on icy roads absolutely terrifies me because I've never done it before. I hope you'll be okay :)

You see this f***ing **** right here gets on my nerves.
Boy (15) 'pushed girl (14) into toilet and raped her at youth disco' - court hears
A Donegal man has gone on trial at the Central Criminal Court accused of raping a younger girl during a youth disco when he was a teenager.

What annoys me is they call him a man 5 years later but she's still called a young girl. Did he age and she stay young.

This rant is about the media, not the case by the way.

Jurgen klopps over the top celebrations every time Liverpool score.

Have seen it twice in 10mins, you'd think he just won the world cup.

    Edit: come on arsenal

If it's a smartphone then there's apps you can use to easily transfer everything on your old phone over to the new one :)

Bedside lamp bulb needs replacing. TA that I'm lying in bed with light on cos putting off light involves getting out of bed, walking a tiny distance to wall and back again.

I've had a cough/cold/sore throat for the past week. Most of it has cleared up but now I have four mouth ulcers. I rub salt into them a few times a day as I find it kills the pain and makes them heal much faster. However, when I rub the salt in, the pain I initially feel for thirty seconds afterwards is horrific. It's as if someone is stabbing the inside of my mouth. I remember there was a thread in AH titled "What's the worst you've ever felt?" and I responded by saying that tonsillitis was. But I'd like to change my answer. The worst pain I've ever felt is rubbing salt into my mouth ulcers. Today it was worse than it has ever been for me before, for some reason. F**king hell. It only lasts 30 seconds or so, but jesus christ.

It's not called 'rubbing salt into the wound' for nothing... And mouth ulcers are a b*tch. Hope they go quickly, DG.

The annoying bint on Sky news right now having a rant about women being judged on their appearance, and making it all about her, yawn, just f uck off and grow up already. Jesus that slot that Sky give to random idiots to give their 2 cents worth to every morning is pathetic. I had to mute her.

Some of her characteristics as you've described them suggest to me a potential anxiety disorder of sorts. Being OCD about saving money. Doing minimal socialising. Planning to escape a night out after just a couple of hours. Still living beside her parents. Not that that means you should keep her in your life. She's her own responsibility, she's not yours. But I'm just thinking out loud.

Perhaps but if you knew her you'd know she is really just a tight fisted bítch and that is the root cause of all her actions. She has no problem spending money on herself. She still lives beside her parents because that was the cheapest option for her.

I agree. I also find tabloids are terrible for using emotive, dramatic terminology when describing such matters. It's not that I don't think sex offenders are the scum of the earth, but really what is the point in saying, "the beast was caged" when you can just say, "the convicted was imprisoned". Then there's the use of the word "animal" to describe them which I hate because I like animals. :( I suppose they are playing to an audience of a certain intellect but still. Annoying.

Also annoying is when you hear about them being assaulted by other inmates. Again, having been the victim of abuse there's nothing I'd like more than to give them a good fúcking hiding myself, but it irritates me when other prisoners (who presumably are no angels themselves) decide to take the moral highground to make themselves feel better.

Mouth ulcers are very nasty and I'm sure you know best what works for you. But,on the salt thing, when I was young i was told to dissolve a lot of salt in water and hold it in my mouth for a minute or so.
Seemed to work and would be a lot less painful

Get imaginative. You need a rubber ball and a long piece of string. Tonight's mission is to use them to turn off the light without getting out of bed.

Poured myself a glass of milk. As I put it up to my mouth, and took a smell, it seems to smell like sh1t. I find the same when I open a packet of cheese. Bloody microbes!
