Unusual. Look at the zone numbers that are to be removed. Then remove them in Rf.

To remove an RF Sensor, go to install menu, inputs, zones, scroll go to zone number with RF sensor installed you want to remove, type, RF details, remove RF zone.

This will de-enroll the device on the system.

Just to feed back on this:

The panel was too far gone to reliably navigate the menu to remove the faulty sensors. There were all sorts of üú characters appearing in the display with whole words missing sometimes. Life is too short so.....

Breaker down, battery out, snipped the sensors. New alarm install was brought forward so there was no day that I wasn't covered by an alarm. I'll get to the rest of them over time.

I think too much of the wiring in the attic was crushed by boards or ply laid on top and walked on over the years. Some of it looks stretched and pulled taut too.

The joys of buying a second hand house.

The chance of all wiring damaged is very unlightly. An engineer can put in a hybrid panel that with do both wired and wireless devices. So any of the cables that are damaged and can't be replaced wireless devices can be used. The most important cables you will need is Rkp cable and external bellbox cable. Don't go for a wireless external bellbox because they are costly and need a lot of maintenance.

Hello newby on this site, i just bought a house with a CS250 system, i can't get the codes from the previous owner, i have the Keypad user manual but not the installation manual, on the keypad flashing "Please install N0 + #" no key is working (at least one by one, i didn't try all combinations) any idea of a factory reset or reinstalling the system? All professionals told me i had to change everything : ( many thanks

I wouldn’t say change everything just yet.A good installer would be able to reinitialize the keypad and set up codes for you. The default codes are 1122 & 1278 engineer. Beyond that,Boards.ie rules do not allow us to help you out with codes or manuals,.

For the system to be indicating (Please install N0 + #) the system has defaulted back to factory settings so just needs to be programmed.

Most installers would be able to do this for you, it is an obsolete system so upgrading would IMO also be an option.

This system can have an issue with the battery not charging but checking the battery leads will indicate this before proceeding with a reprogram of the system if you did want to go down that route.

Enter user code and goto view log. On the burglary event press 0 and it should give you a zone description.

Hi, I know this CS250 panel is really old at this stage. I’m getting rid of my land line and wondering if there is a WiFi communicator module available that I could use instead of my analogue land line. Bit of a long shot! Thanks.

If you updated the panel you could use the XGen panel and have a free app using Wi-Fi

Hi, apologies if this is the wrong thread but it seems appropriate. I too have a CS250 I fitted many years ago. It has 4 wired and 8 wireless zones. The keyboard panel is dying - well very slowly! No back light, some gobbledygook and now one of the buttons is becoming problematic / worn out. Other than that it is working perfectly!

I am guessing I won't get a replacement key panel somewhere but would be happy to try a secondhand one.

Other than that the XGen panel seems to be an Aritech supply but more eastern Europe only. Are they available in Ireland do you know altor?

Failing that is the best alternative then a HKC or what are people fitting these days?

    Cheers
