Hi guys,

I'm looking buy a barbell and some bumper plates to do some weightlifting (clean and jerk, snatch) from at home. The only trouble I'm having is choosing a barbell. Unfortunately we're not really spoiled for choice here when it comes to bars, and it's hard to find something reasonably priced that you can be sure is decent quality.

I'm looking to stay around the 200 euro mark. My only real requirements are that the bar can be safely dropped from above onto a lifting platform during the lifts. Decent knurling and needle bearings would also be preferable.

I was wondering if anybody had any experience with or opinions on the following bars, or if they have any of their own suggestions.

These seem to be the best choices I've seen so far, but information on each of them is hard to come by, especially regarding key issues like tensile strength of the bar. I'd tend to go with the Onyx bar from Strength Shop if I was to pick now, but I'd prefer to get some opinions first.
