iTunes not working on windows .

I am trying to update my iphone and need to update the itunes but when im trying to update my itunes it says unable to instal error 127 and to uninstall itunes and reinstall . will i lose my stuff on itunes etc if i uninstall ? tia

As far as I know, you shouldn't lose anything, I had a similar problem a week or so ago and uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes a number of times with no loss of info. Not sure what that particular error is though.
