I hate all those 30/40 somethings on Facebook who have nothing better to do than share competitions/pictures of minions and complain about everything.

Let me guess, they have their education listed as "University of Hard Knox" and possibly employment as "full time mommy xoxo" or "full time mad bastard"

    :D

Looks like that bucket of water story was false after all,no witnesses came forward to verify it and if it did happen surely others would have said so as the mornings are very busy there and plenty of people around. As for the Niall Boylan fb page,it has been removed,,that guy is the biggest s--t stirrer ever,he post these stories without hearing the full story to to get people riled up.

Beggars are a pain in that location. I've seen them and they are annoying and slightly intimidating too.

The thing aboutthe beggars outside of Lidl is that is seems to be different people every few days. Have seen at least 5 different people begging there.

Looks like they have a sort of organised group to maximise profit.

What would be wrong with LIDL putting up a prominent sign asking people not to facilitate begging and to please refrain from giving them money to buy alcohol.

They'd probably get a torrid abuse off people online and people would call for boycotts. People just want something to whinge about.

While it's sad to see people having to resort to begging, seeing one regular whom I know from school who pesters people at bus stops,Lidl,Dunnes and Centra in Caherdavin who is not living rough but living with his parents. He has the cheek to be leaving a shop with a bag full of drink and tap people coming in the door of the same shop for money, who has €188 per week to spend how he likes it's hard to have pity for him.

While it's a fair point made by the poster about alcoholism in the first page this guy has had multiple stints in jail, you would presume would not have access to alcohol in jail that he had to come off it and had time to reevaluate his decisions to be released (multiple times) and first thing he does is resort back to old habits. It must be intimidating for people meeting him leaving Lidl at night,I hope something can be done about it in future.

A young scrawny lad used to beg regularly outside Empire/Centra, I was in traffic on Roches St waiting for the lights and saw him get out of a Taxi behind me - to go begging.

Give 'em nathin, There are very few people in limerick who are actually homeless and the vast majority who are, are there by choice as they in general won't follow rules of places to stay.

One "homeless" lad in town has a house out on the North Side.

Some young blonde haired kids who regularly go begging near the Ennis road and out in Corbally live in Thomondgate.

Another lad who begs near the Old Quarter lives in Killeely.
