Rubin Kazan v Liverpool BT Sport/ Setanta 6 PM

In a tight group a win tonight (esp combined with a win for Sion at home) would go a long way to getting Liverpool to the knock out stages.

    1 Sion..............7
    2 Liverpool........3
    3 Bordeaux........2
    4 Rubin Kazan....2

Since the first leg their goal scorer has banged in another two in a win against the worst side in the Russian Prem, he is one that will need to be watched.

No leaks for Liverpool (clearly that hole has been plugged) but Klopp has picked a strong travelling squad for the game.

Starting team last weekend was leaked well before team was announced

How seriously are Kazan taking this tournament?

Can't remember if they brought a full-strength side to Anfield or not

A win and a couple of goals would be handy alright to keep the momentum going and make it through to the final 178 teams

Is this on the normal telly anywhere? Don't have BT or setanta. I have itv4 and their usually good for exotic kick off times.

Nope BT/Setanta have a lock in on the EL

Post 39 on the gameweek 11 fantasy football thread had correct team leaked

Like I'd be looking at the fantasy football thread. That Darmian fella who fancied himself as an ITK posted the wrong line up. Anything else I do not know about.

This pitch will be a disaster by the end of this game.

Great clearance taking it off Benteke's head.

We've started lively here. Nice to see the confidence building :)

Good start. Pity Milner couldn't put that chance away though that hit the bar.

Jaysus local soccer pitch here is in a better state than that

Game started brightly, and while we are still on top, it's a bloody boring game.

Ibe has looked lively so far

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,398 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Seem to be resorting to balls into Benteke. Looked much more dangerous in the opening 10-15 when we were passing in around the box.

Milner looking far better playing out on the left.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,629 ✭✭✭brevity

Good pressure and possession but nothing coming from it.

There has been a lot of calls for Milner to be deployed in the "left outside" position :pac:

I love Klopp bollixing the fcuk out of the players during the game if he sees something wrong.

He isn't a CM, he might want to be one but he isn't. Still don't love playing him wide, but he can fill in there I suppose.

There's some american guy commentating on my stream...just consistently saying the most pointless stupid things. But the video quality is good :-/

My stream has an Englishman doing likewise.

    It's always strange without a co-commentator

That is the entirety of things for the last 20 odd minutes, and to a static Benteke at that.

Here, the ref blew the whistle bang on a minute into injury time. Did he not get the memo?

No fears here at all, the goals will come.

He hasn't quite set the world alight but he's still a decent player that can play in a few positions.

Surprised by the reaction in here, I thoroughly enjoyed that half, we're playing with a swagger, squeezing the life out of them, playing good direct football on a pitch that's abysmal, Sakho has been superb, so many positives out there imo.

Ah yes, the ginger legend - should have guessed it was him. But yeah, his voice is hurting my brain at this point.

Lolz at the commentator on my stream, "Liverpool wouldn't haven't deserved to take the lead and Kazan look dangerous on the break". Plain lies

Impressed with ibe. Like hes reborn since klopp arrived

Early pressure coming from Firmino and Ibe being central to moves has eased to Can and Milner becoming more on the ball and aerial balls have been dealt with ok.

Ah we've played well alright. We're certainly the better team and i'll be very disappointed if we don't win this. Good to see Sakho shouting out instructions and marshalling the defence. That's what Lovern was brought in to do, who actually has been anonymous in this game which is a big positive.

Just wear them down and then grab a late goal hopefully.
