The white looks nice; I think the grey is a fierce dull colour.

    White

    Green. Do it right. ;)

Do they not do the blue anymore in the VRS? I'd go for that over the white or grey.

They still do the blue alright, it's nice but I wouldn't be a massive fan...the green is cool too, but I wouldn't.

Plus a petrol to do it even more right.

Well if you're limiting yourself to the worst two options, :P , then go grey. Looks nice with the upgraded alloys and white is just overdone by now. At least the grey is an anthracite/gun metal type and not silvery.

White. The grey is nice but looks very dull on wet dull days white looks good in all conditions.

White seems to be winning. Seen 4 MKIII vrs today... Seem to be getting poplar here now

They do, but they now do the blue in the standard version as well.

That would be why I wouldn't get it to be honest... Plus White is too transient, it's popular now and has been for a few years, so it's probably due to fall out of favour in the next year or two and if you're thinking resale at all then you're better off having one of the ones that's different and not white. :)
They do, but they now do the blue in the standard version as well.

That's a shame, the older VRS blue was really nice, kinda like the ST/RS blue for Fords in that it was subtle but you knew it was different to the regular cars option.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,626 ✭✭✭✭vectra

    red :D

    No, serious
    hatch = white
Cpmbi would have to be black

I have one of the older VRs in blue, so I'm mildly irritated by each rental car spec 1.6tdi one I see....:D

No question, looks class in grey. Ive never like skoda and it looks like what id expect from a skoda in white. I will seriously consider one of these next year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,865 ✭✭✭✭MuppetCheck

Pick whichever you prefer. I wittled it down to two. I now have a white one (thats my car in those pics:p) but I'm kicking myself I didn't get the green now because I thought of the resale instead of what I actually liked best although you'll probably be safe enough with white in this fine land of felt.

Agree on the race blue... They ruined it having it on all of them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,751 ✭✭✭✭For Forks Sake

And fwiw I'd go for the grey, suits the dark alloys a lot better. And I think it'll age better than the white.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,053 ✭✭✭Casati

I have a candy white Superb and so am biased but like the VRS in the same colour, that grey really mutes the overall style of the VRS. I find the paint easy to keep thought you need to detar it quite often

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,331 ✭✭✭AMGer

a 152 blue VRS passed me on the motorway this morning, looked good, it's the colour I'd have. From the two options you're thinking of, definitely the grey

I think the white looks nicer but depends on what other exterior options you go for. It goes well with the optional pack that includes black front grill, black wing mirrors and optional gun metal or partial black alloy wheels. These tend to get neutralized with dark paintwork.

On a side note it's a shame Skoda decided to offer the blue that used to be exclusive to the vRS, on all models these days. Before you knew it was a vRS whereas now it could easily be a 1.2 Rapid.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 544 ✭✭✭SBPhoto

I prefer the white in the VRS looks very ordinary in grey.

Yes I will be ordering the challenge pack which includes all of what you have listed, black trimmings, gun metal wheels...

Blue is by far and away the best colour in them.

What ever you do don't listen to anyone suggesting green, it looks looks ok in picture but absolute sh1te in real life.

The blue all the way, if not then grey.

The finish in them is not good. As another vRS owner discussed with me one day, It is like the original wheels have been sprayed.
I saw one here in my own town one day as well and thought the wheels were filthy on one. I had a closer look when I spotted it parked in a supermarket car park a few days later, they looked matt black,

Just be wary and try to view one first before hitting the "Buy it now" button.
And best of luck with your color choice. But the grey looks mank when dirty, escpecially in winter.

I'm just following Motors logic here and saying buy a 535D. It's the best car in the world EVER!:pac:

All messin aside, I'd say the white, and I'm not a fan of white cars. I wouldn't be a fan of the VRS anyway as its not enough of a Q-car for me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,470 ✭✭✭JoeA3

Colour is very personal choice. Pick whichever looks best in your eyes!

But in my opinion... White will stand out more and is actually relatively easy to keep, it doesn't show up minor marks as much as dark shades. Most of the current VAG range look very well in white. The grey will be much more stealthy but arguably a bit more classy and timeless too.

This is exactly what I think, classy stealthy grey or Flashy stand out white...I can't decide...I'm swaying towards white, if I'm paying an extra 10k for the vrs it's as well to shout look at me I'm a vrs haha

Meteor grey is nice too, I'm on a phone so can't post a pic.

This is meteor grey. It's a Marmite color to many.

Saw one in Galway a few weeks so and I have to day, I thought it a fab colour.

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. Yes a nice colour too, I went to look at the cupra but seat don't sell the spec I was interested in here. I wanted a 3 door dsg with the sub8 package.

The whole white thing is over done and done now. It was cool in 2005 when VW did the GTi in white. The amount of white Audi's knocking around now is mad. Don't be another sheep. Go for that mad meteor grey colour! (looks like a colour Alfa would come up with)

I was in this situation some months ago trying to decide what to buy this time.
Had it been another vRS it would very likely have been a combi in Black with black pack,
    Black badges
Tints from the B pillar back.

And a bucket load of toys :pac:

I was so so close to doing it.

I'd go with the white but that meteor grey is very nice. I see a green vRS in Cork City and it's a head turner!
If I upgrade next year it might be green! :)
