I'm just wondering would anybody have any idea how much it would usually cost to get stainless steel 3D signage over a place of business? Say if it was just the name of the place like Murphy's or O'Connor's.

Call a couple of sign makers in your area. Huge range in the cost depending on what exactly is to be done.

As thecommander says it varies massively they will need to come out to you to see where it is going to go and what the surface is made from etc. For just the lettering uninstalled you can be looking at €100+/letter depending on size and style so it can get pretty pricey pretty quickly.
