Games are coming thick and fast. At home to Anderlecht on Thursday followed by an away trip to the Emirates on Sunday.

Should win this comfortably, pretty sure our record is decent against them? Kane needs to stay on the purple patch.

I think we're all expecting 3 points from this game,I hope it works out like that.

And its exactly this kind of game where we end up dropping two points in previous seasons.

    3 Points is a must

Remi Garde: Aston Villa to appoint ex-Lyon boss on Monday

Aston Villa will appoint ex-Lyon boss Remi Garde as their new manager on Monday - replacing Tim Sherwood.
The Frenchman, 49, inherits a team bottom of the Premier League with just four points from 10 games, ahead of Monday's trip to Tottenham

Bollox. Was hoping they'd still be playing for no one in particular.

Still. We should win by a 2 goal minimum

motd said they reckon he will watch from the stands and not be in the villa dugout so hopefully he has zero influence

we should still destroy this villa team :D

    3-1

2-0 would be fine for me. Don't concede and not weathering any kind of pressure late in the second half.

Lamela having a good game would be a bonus! His tackling of late has been brutal, he either pulls out or concedes a foul.

Lloris, Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose. Dier, Alli. Lamela, Dembele, Eriksen. Kane.

Don't understand how Gestede (spelling) fella isn't starting more. Glad to see him on the bench. He's the sort of player that could cause our defensive real trouble.

    Fazio returns to the bench!

Vorm, Davies, Fazio, Trippier, Mason, Onomah & Townsend.

The start we wanted, good strength from Dembele.

    Great strength Moussa

serious strength by Dembele there. Let's hope we go out and bag a few more. Villa look terrible.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,900 ✭✭✭Sugarlumps

Too many wayward passes, tempo is very slack. Agbonlahor is quick given a chance. Villa's defence looks a mess when pressed.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,057 ✭✭✭tippspur

    Westwood looks shook

Weak first half, plodding along since the goal. Lamella hasn't been in the game, winger he ain't.

What's with all the long passes out from the back to the wide players tight on the touchlines. Can we just get it down and play a bit of ball to feet.

^^^^ edit. Wrote that 15mins ago. Dunno why it's coming up now.

    Get in!

Nice finish by Dele Alli alright.

Game was gone dead until the second goal.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,406 ✭✭✭DyldeBrill

The game went really flat there for a while, delighted for Dele Alli! A lot of sloppy ball, by no means our best football, but I'll take 2-0 at half time any day. Good save from Lloris for Sinclairs shot.

More goals to come I reckon, unless Villa decide to shut up shop and limit damage. COYS!

    Let's hope I'm very wrong
