    Hi there,

Was wondering if anyone has ever ordered the green juice box from the Organic Supermarket? I'm planning on doing a 2/3 day juice detox but don't know if one box would be enough - has anyone ordered one of the boxes before? Any help would be very much appreciated. ☺️ P.S. I emailed hem to ask and they gave me a wish washy answer about everyone being different.

Op I'm not trying to be smart but the whole "detox" thing is a fad/ buzz word wit the aim of getting punters to sign up to something and spend money. The liver and kidneys do a far better job than beetroot and carrot juice.

I just looked up their detox box and for €35 it "Contains; Apples, Carrots, Lemons, peppers, cucumbers, celery, Broccoli, beetroot, ginger, parsley, avocados and spinach Juicer required! "
Its all fresh ingredients you can get in any supermarket.

Three day juice diet aint going to solve your problems you need to look at your diet and if it has a lot of processed foods or sugar cut them out.

I just came here to say more or less along the lines of groovyg

I'm not sure what you think a detox is or what are the perceived benefits

Could you explain what you hope to achieve by drinking this juice?

I was waiting for these questions. I'm not juicing to lose weight, etc. I have several food allergies and digestive issues. I don't eat processed food or sugar usually but have had several events recently where I've eaten things I'd usually avoid and am feeling a bit rough. I sometimes do a day or two juicing to give my digestive system a break when I'm feeling particularly sluggish. It's worked well for me in the past, maybe it's just a mental thing, but when I feel too ill to eat from my digestive issues flaring up I find it easier to stomach a juice than to eat the amount of fruit and vegetables that I usually do. Anyway, I was looking for information on the green juice box specifically, so if anyone has ordered that one in particular I'd love to hear from you.

If you have recurring digestive issues you need to see a medical professional and discuss with them your diet
and symptoms. You should make them aware that your treatment is drinking juice and see what they
have to say. I'm not convinced your self diagnosis and treatment are doing you any good.
It seems to me your symptoms are abating naturally anyway, and you attribute it to the juice.

    From wikipedia:
Many alternative medicine practitioners promote various types of detoxification diets.
Scientists have described these as a "waste of time and money", that most such dietary "detox"
    claims lack any supporting evidence.

This appears to be the case here.
I recommend you see a doctor if you're serious about your problem
    Otherwise save your money.

timsnewbridge I'm not here to get into an argument with you. I came here solely to find information about a product. I genuinely appreciate your concern, but I see a doctor regularly and have a diagnosis. I'm working with my doctor to take steps towards getting things under control. Juicing makes me feel better, and to be honest that is really all I care about at the moment - I just want to feel better. I understand that you don't agree with me, but surely you can appreciate this?

Would it be better to just get a juicer yourself, if you do them every so often? If this box is 35 a pop, a juicer might make sense.

Instead of a juicer get a nutribullet/ nutrininja - that way half of the fruit and veg don't up in the bin.

Oh yeah, I have a nutribullet, they're pretty amazing (or maybe I'm easily impressed haha). That price is for the box of fruit and vegetables only. Very expensive, right? The one I'm looking at is 10 euro cheaper I think - I like to stick to mainly green juices, less fructose :)

I'd imagine you'd get all of those ingredients on a trip to aldi or lidl for significantly cheaper? Seems a bit of a swizz to pay that price for a box of veg that you then juice yourself anyway?

I know what you mean, but I've heard that it's much better to use organic for juicing so as to avoid all those nasty pesticides and stuff going straight into you. Probably a load of nonsense, but sure look it if it helps me sleep better at night ;) Aldi have a fairly good organic range though in fairness! :)
