No, this is giving other people their opinion.

We've just won 2-0 and are top the league. Yet we have people arguing about the definition of words.

Apologies to everyone else for going off topic.

Great result and fantastic to be top of the league

    Is that free advice???
Wenger can stay as long as he wants - it's not a popular opinion but I'm entitled to defend it

No one is talking about wengers position the last Couple of pages but you bring it up with a snide comment about it. That's not defending. That's being a dickhead cause someone has a different opinion than you and you can't let it go

It's fine. Of course you're entitled to defend it. I'm very nearly in that corner myself. the more i see Chelsea and Utd, the more I think sod titles, Wenger will be gone someday and then we can be just like everyone else. But as I explained the other day, I didn't pay 70 quid or whatever to see us get hammered by Southampton.

Anyway, that's explaining my opinion on the matter. But that's not what you were doing. You were simply taking a shot at the opinions of other people. That's not the same at all and will just result in bickering back and forth and ruin the thread.

Any chance of dropping this and moving on?

And maybe talk about the game?

I would keep chambers in the centre now see how he goes against better opposition

Delighted with the result: Özil immense, Giroud's layoff sublime...

I pay money to see Arsenal too, but the continued unfair attacks on Wenger's position upset me.

I may have been sharp in some of my responses but the language used against me has greatly upset me

    Chequebook swiftly closing.

I am happy for him to play cup games there but really really want to a DM next week.

I think we've been too hard on some players that just need games, namely Gibbs and Ox.

I'm still very worried about long term injuries. That Liverpool/Stoke/Chelsea run at the end of Jan is a disaster. It's basically the team now plus Alexis and whoever we buy in ... hoping no-one else gets injured.

I think if we're top after that, we'll be in a fantastic position.

    The great.

Ozil. Arsenal should ring Real Madrid up and just give them another €20m.

    The good.

Gabriel attacked every corner, made a few good tackles and was generally solid. I still think it has to be either him or Kos because both have similar games (trying to get in ahead of the attacker) and he’s not a Mertesacker replacement.

Chambers was very bright from about 15 minutes on - everyone was understandably nervous at the start and he wasn’t getting too much of the ball but grew into it. Picked a couple of neat passes. Fucked up once or twice but a pleasant surprise. Definitely a better footballer than I thought.

The Ox had his best game I’ve seen from him in a while - still fairly brainless, but a lot more productivity and seemed more confident. If he could lift his head up, he’d be three times the footballer he is now.

Theo might get a lot of stick for the chances he missed but he created a lot of those through his runs and his workrate and I noticed he was helping both Gibbs and Bellerin out defensively (a lot more than he usually does). I thought he tried hard throughout.

Not Bellerin’s best game, but he was available the whole time and did make some great runs and a couple of important tackles.

Gibbs was fine. Wasn’t amazing attacking-wise but solid. Very few teams will have two left-backs better than Monreal and Gibbs.

    The not-as-good.

Giroud’s assist was lovely but he did the square root of **** all for the rest of the game. He was also anonymous versus Southampton. Need another option.

Ramsey looks better when Cazorla and Coquelin are actually playing midfield, because he’s just not disciplined enough to control the game. When you have Ox, Theo, Giroud and Ozil ahead of you, you have to be a bit more selective as to how many times you run ahead of the play to try and get on the end of moves.

Midfield cover - looking really threadbare now. If Ramsey gets injured, there is literally no one left!

Even just off the top would be OK
