Most nationalistic National Anthem?

With so many anthems played during the rugby we started talking about what they mean for a country.

Some anthems like the Swedish or the US one doesn't even mention the name of the country.
The South African would be the most inclusive with 5 different languages when sung in entirety, and is mostly about how great Africa is.

Others are quite aggressive like France "impure blood will water our furrows" or the Vietnamese "Our flag, red with the blood of victory, bears the spirit of the country"

Amhrán na bhFiann is "The soldier's song" but is kinda tame.

Would it be the old gem Deutschland, Deutschland über alles "Germany Germany above all"?

What about the Italian anthem? :p
The name of the country is mentioned, along with words of glory and courage.

La Marseillaise speaks of pure blood, I've always thought it was more racist than Deutschland leid, which was never the Nazi anthem.

    Has to be La Marseillaise......
    Arise, children of the Fatherland,
The day of glory has arrived!
    Against us tyranny's
    Bloody banner is raised,(repeat)
Do you hear, in the countryside,
The roar of those ferocious soldiers?
They're coming right into our arms
To cut the throats of our sons, our women!

    To arms, citizens,
    Form your battalions,
    Let's march, let's march!
    Let an impure blood
    Water our furrows
    !

Doesn't the Dutch anthem pledge loyalty to Spain?

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

Not the national anthem, but I saw some British people singing "Rule, Britannia" on TV a few weeks back. There is one scary-ass brainwashing song if ever I heard one.

The actual UK national anthem, despite being called, "God Save the Queen", is a surprisingly open song more about worldly brotherhood and togetherness rather than being about how great the UK is.

The Star-Spangled Banner is pretty bad too, though the actual lyrics are a bit too wordy and inaccessible for it to be useful as propaganda.

    Huh?
    Lord grant that Marshal Wade
    May by thy mighty aid
    Victory bring
    May he sedition hush
    And like a torrent rush
    Rebellious Scots to crush
    God save the Queen

Wake up, Romanian, from the sleep of death
Into which you have been sunk by the barbaric tyrants
Now, or never, make a new fate for yourself,
To which even your cruel enemies will bow.

Aha, I was looking at a different version. Even then, the lyrics you quote aren't in the modern, standard version.

There actually appears to be as many versions as there are commonwealth countries and monarchs.

Who cares anyway, anytime i've seen someone from England singing God save the Queen if you listen closely their just screaming"RAAA RAAAA BLAAH BLAAAAA.. BLAA BLAA"

It does, and the first line says that they are of German blood. The Dutch don't like that.

Not technically part of the German national anthem anymore.

Even when that line was in the anthem, it had nothing to do with dominating others. Indeed, when the line was written, there wasn't a German state to do any dominating.

The Horst Wessel song, co-national anthem from 1933 to 1945 for Germany.

Its' title proposes that a non-existent religious deity saves the unelected head of state.

    Non existent? :)

Why do athiests have their own forum when they can't resist bringing it up in nearly every other forum?

    Yes, it's in the bible.

    ha ha ha class,

    so is this line:
When men fight with one another, and the wife of the one draws near to rescue her husband from the hand of him who is beating him, and puts out her hand and seizes him by the private parts, then you shall cut off her hand. Deuteronomy 25:11-12

    and this:
You may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way. Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT

oh and this one is very important this time of year:

Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material. Leviticus 19:19

What a truly morally repugnant baseless set of tripe to be using as an argument of the existence of anything.

Tried to find the East German Anthem from Top Secret. Can't find it, so here are the words

Hail, hail East Germany / Land of fruit and grape / Land where you'll regret / If you try to escape / No matter if you tunnel under or take a running jump at the wall / Forget it, the guards will kill you, if the electrified fence doesn't first.

Probably least funny bit of the film, so here's another clip as an apology

Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyl i mi,
    Gwlad beirdd a chantorion, enwogion o fri;
Ei gwrol ryfelwyr, gwladgarwyr* tra mad,
    Tros ryddid collasant eu gwaed.
    Cytgan:
Gwlad, gwlad, pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad,
    Tra môr yn fur
    I'r bur hoff bau,
O bydded i'r hen iaith barhau.
    2. Hen Gymru fynyddig, paradwys y bardd,
    Pob dyffryn, pob clogwyn, i'm golwg sydd hardd;
Trwy deimlad gwladgarol, mor swynol yw si
    Ei nentydd, afonydd, i mi.
    Cytgan:

    3. Os treisiodd y gelyn fy ngwlad dan ei droed,
Mae hen iaith y Gymry mor fyw ag erioed,
Ni luddiwyd yr awen gan erchyll law brad,
    Na thelyn berseiniol fy ngwlad.
    Cytgan:

O land of my fathers, O land of my love,
Dear mother of minstrels who kindle and move,
And hero on hero, who at honour's proud call,
For freedom their lifeblood let fall.
    Chorus:
Wales! Wales! O but my heart is with you!
    And long as the sea
    Your bulwark shall be,
To Cymru my heart shall be true.
    2. O land of the mountains, the bard's paradise,
Whose precipice, valleys lone as the skies,
Green murmuring forest, far echoing flood
Fire the fancy and quicken the blood.
    Chorus:

    3. For tho' the fierce foeman has ravaged your realm,
The old speech of Cymru he cannot o'erwhelm,
Our passionate poets to silence command
Or banish the harp from your strand.
    Chorus:

P.S. Not a mention of sheep.

It was actually used, with different words, as the anthem for numerous nations, back when the whole anthem thing was new, including Germany (the present one they actually pinched off Austria-Hungary after WWI), Russia and it is still used by Lichtenstein (making the start of any football match between them and a UK team very confusing).

For much of history the Dutch were considered a German people - their language is essentially a German dialect (as removed from High German as many other German dialects) and at least one recognized 'German' pope prior to Paparazzi was technically Dutch, if I remember correctly.
