Apologies if I'm going back over old ground - haven't been online for a while and haven't seen any updates on GLAS - when are we due to know if people have been accepted into the first round of GLAS?

Spoke to my planner yesterday and she said that the dept are only starting to send out the approvals today .......... delay after delay after delay!

I hope they dont still expect us to have actions completed to original deadlines, as their delays have had a knock on effect planning for Glas work.

Just called the single payment unit - mine is held up for satellite inspection. Apparently there are 8.5k payments held for satellite inspection, and up to now only 4.5k have been completed. It was contracted out to a private company, and taking a long time. I was told to call back in 2 weeks .........

No idea whats happening. As I said above is it worth the hassle? My plan brought me close to the 5k mark I thought but if payments are reduced as expected cant see much point in it for the effort required.

It was supposed to be December but nobody knows when payments are made anymore but you can be nearly sure that they will be made late.

I think johnstown castle. I emailed them few weeks ago after failing to get through on phone a few times. No response yet.

I thought that was the way it was meant to work as well, however aeos have docked the final 3 months payments from me, and given me a October start glas date, but no glas money received here either.

Have got no replies to any of the payment sections from my emails, do they even respond to a small farmer email address or is it only the farm advisor etc

Lads, I've to take back the giving out I done about the department. Got through to them, and the lady I spoke to was extremely helpful and couldn't have been nicer. She promised to have a look at my file and ring me back..... Which she did. Told me what needed to be straightened out and told me she could do it from her side. So credit where credit is due. My faith is restored in the department !!

    I'm in same boat here

Just called the number on the website - 0761 064451 - and got through straight away.
Was told that my BPS payment had been held up for satellite inspection, and when that's cleared up the GLAS payment for Oct-Dec 2015 will be paid.

I know it's sorted since last week Dec, so there's another GLAS payment run end January, and it should be in that.

anyone know when they're going to send out the Glas plans?

going to be hard to get the stuff done by the end of march if we don't have the plan

What are you on about, it was you and your planner that sent the plans into the department. Its all the same if you don't know whats on them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,748 ✭✭✭ganmo

I thought we were ment to get an approved plan sent out to us
I have something here with 'draft plan' plastered all over it but doesn't say where on each parcel the actions are to be taken, dad did it and he can't remember exactly

ps i read the T&c's again and spotted
    11.4.
The cost of non-productive capital investments will be repaid to a participant in equal instalments over five full calendar years. Farmers must keep such records as the Department prescribes

does this mean we can claim certain costs back off the dept?

Think you're quite off the mark there Cuban - the approved plan will include required actions and deadline dates that need to be met.
