My teams never win and it breaks my heart. They just never ever ever win and I'm sick of it.

You're supporting the wrong team so. Just do what loads of 12 years olds every year and decide to support the team that's on top of the premiership.

Bet heavily on whoever they are playing against and at least have the winnings to console you in defeat.

I've had a life time of heartache. I'm cursed.

Then you're not a sports fan and never were.

When will my time be gooderer? What's the matter with me? Why can't I have a bit of luck? That's it, I'm finished with sport. I mean it.

Anything else you'de like to add to that, anymore insults?

    What team do you support.

and what of the poor Everton and Leeds Utd fans who have little to cheer about ?

only option is to support Celtic, and ignore the champions league and you'll be in a happy place.

Goodererness only comes about through hanging in there. Patience is a virtue. Then comes the gooderernessly entertaining days.

You'll get a lot of ungooderernessly days that are unfair but try and deungooderernessly them and you'll find sport is much more entertaining.

Good luck op. You can do it.

It's part and parcel of being a proper sports fan to be disappointed the majority of the time. That means it is all the sweeter when the team you follow somehow fluke winning a competition :)

Sir, your use of the English language is both appalling and offensive. Good day to you.

Didn't Leeds have a good run there in the 90's? Actually they won the Premiership in 91/92. Maybe a bit too long ago for some to remember, I think I was in 3rd class at the time.

I know I am good person and I do realise goodererisation can be mine, I'm just finding it very tough recently.

Good God whooping it up here with a boards moderator, do you realise how many times I've been banned from boards? Have the boards Gods forgiven me?

You'll probably get banned by a mod who knows what they're doing and this thread will be wiped from existence. It'll be exdeungooderernessly sadly.

If all it takes is thanking a post to make a day more gooderer then I'm happy to oblige, rereg or not. Don't feel too special though, I do thank a lot of posts. It's for my self goodererisationness programme.

No insult intended at all. Simply meant being a sports fan is more than supporting winners. Some the most dedicated fans are those of clubs in many sports who win seldom if ever. It's about the game, the event.

Don't get too upset over the events this weekend. There's always next year....

... that's if Daniel O'Donnell's up for it I guess

You don't get to choose your parish, county or country. The others you can change.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 929 ✭✭✭JPCN1

I support three Rugby teams. My club, my province and my country. On most years one will lift you and another will disappoint you and one may just trundle along. Part and parcel of sport. Really disappointed by yesterday but I'd say the players are just sick to their stomachs. Thanks to them and Joe we've had a fairly good ride these last two years and that should not just be forgotten because of Yesterday! Upwards and onwards.

Would you believe it but it was that travesty of justice that prompted this thread. Any team I want to win,,,,,,, lose. so sad. Poor Scotland. It was probably my fault they were cheated of their victory.

You might want to ask all those GAA players who switched county or professional footballers who declare for their granny's country about that...

    Ireland 1 Germany 0

And assuming you have no real ties to QPR then you just brought that on yourself.

There's your mistake right there...it should be Mayo hurlers and Limerick footballers...QPR womens (Middlesex County FA Women's Senior Cup:Winners - 2009/10)...Ireland...boxing.

It's great when your team wins......but a match has a winner and a loser....and if your a sports fan you have to accept either outcome. Otherwise you are not a fan.

American sports insist on a result. I like a draw, it's like saying we're all winners/losers.

No James. Starting this thread was the first step of my recovery. I don't care about them anymore. I'll never support them again. Sport has ruined me.
