What to eat before gym class at 7pm?

I've just started going to a gym class in the evenings. My normal after work routine is to come home, have a rice cake or two with a little bit of peanut butter and then take the dog out for a walk or run and then dinner anywhere from 7pm onwards depending on how long I was out with the dog for and what I'm cooking.

However with the gym class in the evening I'm walking the dog in the morning as I don't have time to walk him in the evening. This means I'm hanging around, getting hungry, waiting for the class. Tonight I've had a mandarin in the car on the way home from work, 4 rice cakes with a smear of peanut butter, one crumpet with butter and a 30g packet of doritos  And I still feel like I could eat the cupboards.

The class is a conditioning/strength one so we're not doing any cardio. Should I just have my dinner before hand then? Or other suggestions? I hate eggs and bananas so those two suggestions are out!
