    Hi Ladies,

Looking for some advise on some nice places to go - myself and my friend have decided this year not to swap xmas presents, instead we said we would go somewhere nice for a spa day/overnight stay. Have been looking on deal websites but they mainly only for 1 treatment or so, just looking to see if any of you have nice recommendations of places to stay.
We are going from Dublin and would rather not travel to far seeing as its only 1 day/night, neither of us drink so not looking for somewhere with good nightlife & are not into going out for meals or anything like that, just basically somewhere nice and relaxing .

    Monart is fab but expensive
Powerscourt hotel has a great spa
Johnstown house regularly has spa deals on the likes of livingsocial or groupon.
Was recently in whites of Wexford and loved the hydrotherapy pool.
The heritage in killenard has a lovely spa lots of different rooms in the thermal suites.

Whenever anyone asks this kind of question I always recommend The Seafield. It's amazing. The rooms are gorgeous, location is really quite handy (about 1hr 20 mins drive from city centre) and by getting a room you have full access to their spa & thermal suites (incredible). I've ever had treatments there but I've never needed to, the jacuzzis and steam rooms are more than enough for me! The food in the main restaurant and the clubhouse is AMAZING, all on site.

Oh and they have a private beach for a nice walk. :)

I would second Johnstown House. It's so amazing there and not too far from Dublin.

My friends and I recently went to Sligo with friends for a day/night from a deal we got on Escapes.ie. I know you said you didn't want to go to far, but if you are looking for terms, check out that website! :)

Any of the Spa Hotel's mentioned would be all lovely. I've known a few to have gone to the majority of them and enjoyed them. I've been to the heritage and its lovely even for the Spa experience. Dunboyne Castle and Spa Hotel be one I'd recommend too. Johnstown House Hotel often do offers on Grabone. Mostly Spa Experiences i've had have been further from Dublin. Spa hotels in Meath/Kildare/Wicklow be ideal traveling from Dublin.
