49-28 on week coming into W6

    Falcons @ Saints
    Bears @ Lions
    Bengals @ Bills
    Broncos @ Browns
    Texans @ Jaguars
    Chiefs @ Vikings
    Dolphins @ Titans
    Redskins @ Jets
    Cardinals @ Steelers
    Panthers @ Seahawks
    Ravens @ 49ers
    Chargers @ Packers
    Patriots @ Colts
    Giants @ Eagles

I like the slate of games this week.

Particularly interested to see how the Skins get on against the Jets. Too good defences, game will be decided by which team can see offensive playmakers step up. I have backed the Skins on the spread.

I don't buy the Falcons, so I have backed the Saints.

Eagles against the Giants is also very interesting. Given the Cowboys' troubles, the winner of this game will be a heavy favourite for the NFC Least. Both sides are showing signs of resurgence. I just think that the Eagles are starting to click into gear. I don't think they will ever challenge teams like the Pats and Pack, but at home to the Giants should be within their capability.

Big week for the Vikings, too. They are pushing for a wild card, but they can forget about it if they can't win a game like home v Chiefs.

52-25 overall coming into this week.

    Falcons @ Saints
    Bears @ Lions
    Bengals @ Bills
    Broncos @ Browns
    Texans @ Jaguars
    Chiefs @ Vikings
    Dolphins @ Titans
    Redskins @ Jets
    Cardinals @ Steelers
    Panthers @ Seahawks
    Ravens @ 49ers
    Chargers @ Packers
    Patriots @ Colts
    Giants @ Eagles

Picking 7 road teams generally wouldn't end too well. Lets see how it goes.

Other than the bears and the fins the other road teams are all petty sensible picks though. I also like the bears this week but the lions are three point favourites.

    Giants over the Eagles?
I was considering it, because the Giants look to be improving and gaining confidence.

But historically, gotta go with the Eagles at home.

    So do the giants.

  • So do the giants.

giants are two field goals from 5-0 I'm worried about monday

  • nice start by the saints

Saints in front but their offensive line is being savaged.

In fairness the Falcons are overrated and are incredibly lucky to be 4-0. They beat a poor Giants team due to Coughlin making a balls of clock management.

I get what you're saying though as the Saints have been so poor until today.

saints are terrible at the moment wouldn't have thought there defence would stop the falcons offence once

Tbh the Saints are being thoroughly outplayed but things are just going their way.

This is a werid game to watch... Saints are leading but it just feels wrong..

  • can't see saints winning to be honest falcons are cutting through them at will just need to hold on to the ball

I've never seen an NFL team bite on every single play fake like the Saints have tonight.

Ugh the way Brees is playing why are you running on 3rd and 7. Why are they running at all actually.

Saints downfield coverage must be insanely good. Ryan has forever to throw and can't find anyone open.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,052 ✭✭✭poldebruin

great couple of play calls (although can't believe the Falcons actually jumped offside) going for it on 4th from the 2 yard line. I have to say, I was thinking FG all the way was the play there.

Pressure will build on Atlanta now, but they are more than capable of going pass heavy and coming back into this.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,052 ✭✭✭poldebruin

wow, surprised that wasn't flag as Ryan was sliding (it was a terrible slide, that said)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,052 ✭✭✭poldebruin

Jimmy who? It's the Ben Watson show.

Saints are having their way with the Atlanta D now - looks too easy.

And now there are four unbeaten teams. Who will be next to go?

Falcons OL was just so poor tonight.

Well, I know a lot of people had some doubts about Atlanta and their 5-0 record, and that game pretty much confirmed that they are definitely not as good as their record suggests. Very timid game from the Falcons, albeit in a must win game for the Saints, who still have little chance of catching Atlanta. The Falcons needn't worry, looking at their remaining schedule (easiest in the NFL) they should still be in the hunt for the #2 seed in the NFC. Come playoff time though - I can't see them going far.

Poor Carolina - I'm assuming you have forgotten about them! 5 unbeaten left now - but I fear the Panthers will join the ranks of the 1 loss teams this week against Seattle.

Denver have been in danger every week, but I think they will survive the Browns.

Falcons were a big disappointment tonight.

Saints have to travel to Indianapolis, but then have an insanely easy finish to the season. All their games are winnable. They would have an outside chance of 9-7 if they weren't so sh1t.

They looked good against the Falcons. But I suspect they won't be the last team to look good against the Falcons.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,541 ✭✭✭PokeHerKing

Only getting to do this now but I'd have backed Atlanta , so figure I'll put it up there as it's a loss anyway:

    Falcons @ Saints
    Bears @ Lions
    Bengals @ Bills
    Broncos @ Browns
    Texans @ Jaguars
    Chiefs @ Vikings
    Dolphins @ Titans
    Redskins @ Jets
    Cardinals @ Steelers
    Panthers @ Seahawks
    Ravens @ 49ers
    Chargers @ Packers
    Patriots @ Colts
    Eagles

Ravens @ 49ers tonight. Both teams 1-4, 3 years removed from that epic Super Bowl. 3 years really is a lifetime in the NFL.

I dunno, having listened for years to Broncos fans laughing at Cutler for being an interception machine, I can kind of see the funny side.

4th defensive TD for Denver this season. Madness.

Crazy play by the bears, Cutler about to get sacked, dodges two guys to throw it in the fly to Jeffrey who got away with blatant pass interference.

Ireland losing might have something to do with it.

Another awful crew in charge of the Bears game today. Two or three horrible calls already. Not least the phantom facemask on the bears to give the lions a first and goal.

Should be 0-10 down, Vick maybe has one first down so far and I think Bell got that
