Christmas Short Story book for kids?

I have a 5 year old who is a Christmas nut like me

Only a few weeks ago she asked me to play Shakin' Stevens, Merry Christmas Everyone on YouTube and she nearly wet herself with excitement on seeing the Chocolate Santas in Aldi last week

She has plenty of Christmas related kids books and she loves 'The Night Before Christmas' and 'The Nutcracker' but I'm wondering if there are any other well known short stories out there that are centred around Christmas?

I don't want to read her A Christmas Carol because at her age that might be too much for her because of the ghosts element.

I also don't want to read her PG Wodehouse 'Jeeves and the Yuletide Spirit', even though it's absolutely hilarious She will appreciate these stories more, when she is older.

Is there anything else out there that I'm missing? I'd love if there was a book of kids stories that I could read to her so recommendations are welcome

The night before Xmas... Get her a decent quality version of it & then put it away after Xmas until the following year etc etc...

We have a copy of it here that I bought on the eldest's first Xmas & we read it every Xmas eve before they go to bed. I make them hot chocolate with peppermint canes & whipped cream, we turn off everything & all sit in a circle on the floor & then I read it to them by the light of the tree & the now dying fire [because it has to be out so santa can come down the chimney]...

Make a tradition out of it.

I could but being a newbie I must make 25 post before I can show you the Christmas story I wrote for kids, and published online and I must say it got rave reviews, I added many pics. to go with the story because we all know kids like the pics.
Well I guess I need to get busy adding post's here in order to become an active member?

One of my favourite books I ever received was 'The Magical World of Father Christmas' by Rod Green. Unfortunately, I can't post links but I had a quick look on Amazon and there seems to be a few different sellers available.
It's not exactly a short story, but it's definitely suitable for your daughter and I loved it when I was her age. It had loads of really gorgeous illustrations and explanations of Santa's secrets.

I so wish I could post my Christmas story for kids, would love to read what ya'll think of it? one of my readers suggested it be submitted to Disney, that was a nice boost to my ego LOL well only 20 some thing post's to go.
