Now that the bumper edition of the comic is out, have you found anything you want to look at in particular?

For me I usually go round the vintage stuff, livestock and a visit to dept to see if there is any outstanding paperwork. If icbf have a stand I'll pop in there. Not really buying anything this year. Not sure yet what day(s) I'll go.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

I think it's Malone that make that, they claim a 70HP tractor will work it, seems ambitious to me. Serious looking piece of kit tho. Price tag about €25K +vat.
Article about it in the journal this week.

Not impressed from what I've seen, don't really see the point having to lug both lumps around the whole time.. Don't think there's any steering on the wheels either as they've a gyro headstock from a mower on it.. Not sure how handy it'd be getting tight into a corner

Looks like a joke of a yoke to be fair, especially if no steering on it. I'm sure someone will buy though.

rake and ted without swapping gear... its only a 4 rotor. anyone who needs to cover that much ground needs a bigger tedder then that.

She needs a 6 rotor tedder to be useful but a 6 rotor is fragile enough

She needs no Tedder to be useful, if you have tedding on most the time there will be raking that needs done as well as sure as hell they will be at opposite ends of the county.

I mean as a machine of that size and price in order to cover ground a 4 for or doesn't seem to be big enough

What kind of money are they? There surely aimed at the farmer Rather than the contractor. Have **** all experience of them but looks a grand machine in my opinion, not sure really why so many are cutting the back out of it?

I think 25000 +vat. It's not a good machine in my mind as it's too long a machine for a 4 rotor tedder for the fields around here anyways. The rake by itself would be a good job I'd say.

Buy a rake and a Tedder then! Jack of all trades comes to mind! The only situation I can see that suits a farmer is where he has an out farm a long way from home and wants to rake and ted it. But just put a front linkage on the tractor to carry the Tedder up the road job done. Maybe I'm been harsh but that's the way I see it.

I think they have a rake on it its own as well. If you google malone rake you'll get it. Looks to be a decent looking machine but doesn't have a steering axle far i can see.
