Yes, but it's a crap graphics card, will play some modern games at low resolution and low settings, and some of the latest games won't run properly at all. You would need an 840M/940M at a minimum for gaming really.

Yes, it is considerably better. You can get GT840M laptops starting from about €400 if you check Amazon.de.
